He will mate. Merc admitted early they may lose some speed this year as they already developing next years and beyond for the new regs.

He will have an absolute monster of a car to bag 8. He’s not out of getting it this year by any means. He looked reinvigorated after that weekend, one of the best of a stunning career, and he will be flying for Qatar.

What a season. And next season will be better. Lewis/George v Max/Checo. Wow.

Well that was a fun race. The cars look so much nicer under the lights like don't they? Merc (and Lewis) seem to have upped the ante somewhat in the run in. I just read that they didn't even run the fresh engine they put in Lewis's car in Brazil at the weekend and they're keeping that back for the next one in Saudi. Red Bull surely have to be worried. Horner spice is gonna start getting even ****ing pettier now I reckon. Good to see Max getting a punishment finally and quite rightly so for his last qualy lap improvement although he quickly made up the places he needed to. I can't wait to see Russell in the 2nd Merc next season cos Bottas is just monumentally ****ing **** !!

Bottas has been no sort of wingman this year for Lewis - if he had been up to his job he would have taken loads of points off Max and Lewis would be comfortably leading the championship by now. Perez making a much better fist of things for Max.

It has made the Championship interesting though.

Jeddah is a slam dunk for Lewis (barring any issues of course) and the changes to abu dhabi suit the merc too. I'd rather have Max's points lead, than the performance advantage from the merc, but he might be in trouble here.

I still reckon its a good possibility that Verstrappen will deliberately take Hamilton out sometime in the next two races if it means he will win the Championship.

Perez improved once he deviated away from Verstappens set up. He still hasn't been great but he has been better.

It's going to be an interesting end of the season though. Nobody knows for certain what's going to happen and the sport is better for it (except for the fanatics on both sides ha)

If I were Toto i'd be asking Bottas to do exactly the same thing to Max...Lewis doing it risks penalties which he can ill afford Bottas needs to ****ing take one for the team, he'd probably **** that up in all fairness !!

I am of course jesting, everybody in their right mind wants to see this played out on track and in the right fashion....at least after Brazil we've seen how they're apparently "allowed" to race now so we can expect to see drivers getting their elbows out. I've not seen the Saudi track so not sure what it's like off of the grey stuff but Abu Dhabi has fairly forgiving run off areas unlike a lot of the european tracks with gravel/sand run off areas where you're generally ****ed if you end up in there.

I think they are still power washing the blood off the last couple of beheadings that they did, while they still had a canny crowd in.<ok>

I do not usually bother with qualifying but yesterday the demolition mans last lap was the drive of the day until he hit the wall.

As you say because of the walls nobody can see what is round the corner. Overtaking looks difficult and coupled with the speed of the course the walls/ barriers will probably play a part, with yellow and red flags likely.

According to twitter there was a fair bit of overtaking in the support race last night, but it will take some nerve to try it at top speed in an f1 car with a solid concrete wall millimeters away

They are touching 200 mph at one point in the circuit... some corners for these drivers are not corners but 150 mph slaloms.

Just been reading that the average speed for a full lap is 158mph. That's a rediculous average speed

It has often been suggested that the F1 stewards etc have favoured Verstappen during this season... this latest red or yellow flag cock-up proves it..

That was wild. Max is a death waiting to happen.

Lewis just showing why he’s done it 7 times.

I know who is back in a shoot out under pressure, the champ every day.

Wtf.... was that race? All saying what a great track... but hard to overtake and carnage...+

So if Verstappen crashes into Hamilton and they are both dnf, Verstappen is champion?

Yup. Unless one of them scores a fastest lap early doors, which is unlikely.
