but if he has the power to override the rules then he is breaking no rules.

if he can do what he wants , then the fairest way to end the race is to have the cars on similar rubber. what he did was unfair.
if you disagree with this you really must be dutch

masi said last year he couldnt bring the safety car in early because there are regulations he has to adhere to.
must have discovered some new found powers since then.

if only ferrari had made a bit more noise then the decision to override the rules would have been impossible to explain as fair and logical by keeping sainz behind lapped cars. yet allowing those in front of verstappen to pass. Sainz could have also been fighting for the win. why wasnt he given the chance?

the rules are there for teams to tailor and adjust their strategies. if the rules can be changed on a whim how can teams plan for that? it then becomes pot luck. stabs in the dark.

the statement by susie wolff says it all for me. very gracious in defeat.

testing has already begun.
this is next season.

Probably for the wrong reasons this will have created more interest for next year's championship.
I have a few mates that used to love F1 (they even went to some of the tracks) that had stopped watching it because it was a one sided event.
Suddenly, they are interested again and it's nice to see their passion come back.
F1 is not for me but I'm glad Max won for the future of the activity.

i want wheel to wheel action, cornering with respect for the other driver, giving them room.
not divebombing from miles away and giving them no other option than to concede.

if i want action like that i will go out for a sunday drive in our lasses car.

he's just barged two old ladies out of the way to collect the trophy and if you look closely his top lip is still oversteering. ive got to admit max deserves the win. and will cherish that trophy presented to the winner of the annual dr who monster lookalike competition.
