Extraordinary events at Crawley Town, where Matthew Etherington and Simon Davies are sacked after 34 days and 3 games in charge. Two decent guys with a great work ethic shafted by a little club who think they are bigger than they really are.
That is pretty much the Spurs team that I started supporting

Me too, although I had been taken to the Lane occasionally for about 3-4 years previous, this was time I started going every game. Loved these lads!
This is the earliest team I was old enough to really remember. All seemed semi promising but went to total ****e within months. Pity me.

Some suggestion that this is because the club sold striker Tom Nichols to Gillingham.

Crawley have always been a grotty little operation ever since they returned to the league, be it a string of dodgy owners (current incumbents: a pair of crypto bros) and some pretty scummy managers, not least Steve Evans - and I am not touching the whole Dermot Drummy situation
Good film too. I must try to find it somewhere and watch again. Its nice to see the old players.

Pat Jenning has been awarded a CBE , well deserved and one of the nicest men I have ever met , what took them so long
