Not making any excuses for Mourinho, by any means, but what the **** is that pitch? I'm getting Oldham flashbacks just looking at it.
Poch getting pelters again on Twitter by PSG fans, they drew 0-0 with Marseille. Gotta feeling he could be out of a job sooner rather than later. They don’t seem too be happy with how he’s utilising Messi, Neymar and Mbappe (having those three and failing to score is pretty shabby) and the general theme is that the footy is pretty basic too. Meanwhile Jose got sent off for Roma, getting two yellow cards. Spaletti then got a red card for Napoli after the final whistle. Good day for our former managers… and our current one
I noticed a lot of (English-speaking...) PSG fans mouthing off about Poch playing Messi as a RW rather than an AM I'm guessing that's the current meta for FIFA '22...
Shut out by Pau Lopez, funnily enough. Not sure what Pochettino's supposed to do about Hakimi defending like a knob, though. Highlights: Very attacking team selection: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3589130 The positioning of their attacking three behind Mbappe's a bit, though.
Vinicius saw a decent chance to put PSV ahead against Ajax saved early on yesterday. Then his team got absolutely smashed: Yet to score this season in 10 appearance, though he has only played 343 minutes in those games.
Too early to judge him, but I wouldn't spend that, no. His move to PSV went through very late though, so I expect him to pick up as the season goes on.
He’s on a two year loan there too with a buy option, I’d imagine that buy is option nowhere near what we initially had, especially as I think he’d only have a year left on his Benfica contract at the end of it. Not sure why we didn’t try renegotiating another loan, although maybe the player himself would have said no, hardly got a sniff here.
Benfica changed their loan policy entirely because of our handling of Vini and Gedson, so now players have to be guaranteed a minimum number of games or they execute the recall option
Just seen what lead to Mourinho getting sent off: https://juststream.live/NasturtiumTissuePalates He's got a point, hasn't he? Where the **** is the linesman going?
QPR and Luton had the bad pitches. Ridiculous bounce. Oldham’s was great if you could pass the ball on the deck - which the home team could do under Joe Royle. Oldham had a fine team under him. Certainly better than the current one sitting 90th in the football pyramid.
