I always took Danny's words as gospel regarding his explanation of the game of football. I've always wondered if we could have won more doing an United,Arsenal,Liverpool. Win at all costs. But I prefer his way as far as Spurs are concerned. We've always tried to play "the Danny Way" even though, sometimes we have finished a poor second best....and on occasion, even worse. As long as our players turn up and try hard,is all I want!
Onomah bagged a 69th minute winner in a 2-1 victory over Leeds, having been slagged off on social media by Fulham fans for the previous 68 minutes.
If only Leeds had Jack Clarke on the bench so they had a pact option when chasing a late goal In other news, get ****ed Leeds
Peters for Greaves. Oh no!!!!. Turned out to be a great success here did Martin.Unfortunately,Jim started to go down the pan after a good start for the Hammers. Thank you,Martin, you old "ten years" you!
RIP Martin. Thoughts with his family, must be horrible to lose someone so close to the time of year where families tend to get together and enjoy themselves.
Martin Peters. Like Greavsie, one of those strikers who always delivered, whatever club he played for.
RIP Parking Meters! (As we affectionately nicknamed him) Wonderfully gifted footballer and so sad to have lost his last few years. First Spurs autograph I ever got when he signed my copy of The Glory Game at WH Smiths in Streatham back in '72. St Peter will probably not see him slip through the gates unnoticed.
Southend Uniteds results since Campbell took over... Played 10 Won 1 Drew 2 Lost 7 For 12 Against 24 Hightlights 1. Being knocked out of the FA Cup to non league Dover. 2. Losing to bottom of the table Bolton yesterday after taking the lead. 3. Blowing a 2 goal lead to lose 4-2 to Bristol Rovers. 4. Taking the lead agsinst Burton and Burton then go down to 10 men...but end up drawing one all. 5. Throwing away 10 points from winning postions in the last 4 games.
Still playing back in Honduras with one of his brothers, Johnny. Always make me sad when I'm reminded of what happened to one of their other brothers. Shocking and horrific. Totally derailed his career and understandably so. Redknapp's words about him waiting to ask permission to go home say so much about his character.
Where do you think he'll manage next ? He seems to want to return to the Premier League "I love the Premier League. I love the English fans, I think it is one of the best leagues in the world - and I think for any manager it is so exciting to be involved in the Premier League," said Pochettino. Personally I reckon that Utd job has got his name on it.
Salute the "Sargeant" !!! Anyone here reckon that Dier could have put in a performance like Palacios did in that starting XI in the famous "pericolo" CL game against Milan ??
