Also can't see how people wouldn't see Everton as an exciting challenge?
New owner, big fanbase, plenty of funds, new stadium on the way, chance to lead a resurgence of one of the countrys biggest clubs?
Yep can see why that would be attractive to an ambitious manager by Ron.
It will take years of being in and around the top 6 before we get to that sort of standing. It's the same as some fans this time last year saying we were on the same level as Spurs... anyone still think that?

I think Ronald will put out a very honest and heartfelt statement to thank us. I don't think this is an easy decision morally for him as it happens, but that train has come around...
Koeman didn't score any goals last season, so not sure what you're getting at there.
Totally agree? Like I posted yesterday, if we were losing RK to Arsenal, Barcelona etc, then most fans would understand his decision, however bloody Everton? I just hope the club put a load of restrictions on the deal ie, not allowing approaches for our players for at least 2 transfer windows etc etc. Would like to know how Everton are going to get around the FFP rules as well, as there ground is around 40 thousand and I wouldn't imagine they have massive sponsorship deals like say United, Chesea ma city etc?
I went to the fans forum where LR said that we could pay a player 100k a week,but due to the FFP we weren't able to.

Difficult to disagree with this. To be fair, I've always said that Everton are a bigger club than us (let alone the likes of Spurs and Liverpool also being such). The new owner and the post of the funds just makes them even more attractive.
As for Ron, I'll believe it when I see it. But if he does go, then I'll be in the exact same frame of mind as I was with Pardew, Adkins and Poch (and Cortese). Thanks very much, you've done a great job, but I'm now moving on. Next.
(The only slight concern I have, and I believe that previous summers support such a concern, is that have the board not offered Ron much in the way of a transfer budget, aside from what is raised from player sales? For once, I think we really need to make a strong effort to grow and expand, rather than simply replace).

They were expecting Jose until he signed for Man Utd
They are going to build a new stadium which could of course twice as much as it should cost wink, wink.
They are a much bigger global brand and their sponsorships "market value" judged by UEFA's expert panel of "non corrupt honest guv" assessors are quite reasonably going to see that a substantial sponsorship is market value whereas if Liebherr Cranes decided to sponsor Saints for £40 million a year it would be seen as pretty suspect.
Everton have already sold more season tickets for next season, before yesterday..........without a manager than we have capacity for home fans!!! they have already sold 31,000

On the last paragraph, I do think that we are in position to have a positive net spend this Summer and we're in a great position to do so. Hope it's the case.
Exactly. They're a much bigger club, but in this instance that's toward the bottom of the list of relevance (Koeman wouldn't go to Leeds, who are also bigger). This is about money + opportunity.
Be interesting to see what he does with all that cash without the black box to help him. He's not been thought of as great with money/transfers prior to his time here.

I used to like Everton as a club before his saga, but I have to say their fans have been the worst going on the net. Worse than Liverpool and Spurs when thy mugged us off. At least their supporters had some class about it!
That too, although that's the only slight concern for me. If the yoof aren't good enough currently, then they're not good enough.
