What would be the response to Ronald going to Everton, but Erwin staying as manager?
They're not joined at the hip and Erwin has been in charge in his own right, previously.
I don't know how successful Erwin has been, as a manager. Just looking at a different option with the least upheaval.

If one went I'm sure they'd both go and Sammy Lee probably (although the Everton fans really don't want him). Its seems to be how it works these days.

Before we got Ronald I was shouting for the then Basel Manager who may or may not have been Murat Yakin.

Basel always seemed to punch above their weight. I don't know anything about him though, other than he's Swiss which might be a plus point.

If we were to target Eddie, something tells me that he might wait a few weeks, just in case the FA were to call him too.

Giggs is odds-on to be the next Bolton manager.

We thought we had a done deal with Toby.
Why do people keep bringing this up. Toby was a free agent so completely different argument. Also Toby never ever said he would sign for us - he actually made more and more hints about Spurs as the year went on. The club may have felt optimistic because they had put a good deal together but it was out of our hands.

I shall not argue semantics with you but the statement says we "thought" we had a done deal and hence we were disappointed. I along with 99.9999% of the people contributing to this thread and those doing the same in Liverpool in truth know sweet FA about what is going on now nor did we know any detail about the deal with Toby. The statements in the media regarding Ron going to Everton all contain the words hope or if rather than has or will so my mind is still open on this. The fact that some people seem to have concluded that Ronald is leaving from the lies, rumours and deliberately misleading reports that have circulated and have started to denigrate him is a disgrace.

Guan just posted over on SaintsWeb that he has info but is very limited in what he's allowed to say right now. He says it's very regrettable.

He gave the thumbs up though, which he uses to say something's happened, usually in keeping with the thread itself.

So that's it, Ronald's told us he wants to go, presumably...

...the king is dead, long live the king.

He's also posted what looks like a smiley face to AVB...
