Who would you have as our next Manager

What saints basically are at the moment, is we've got a car that can go 500mph to win a race but we're only willing to travel at 80mph. Your never going to win are you.

I think you and I see things different. I don't expect our owner to just throw HER cash around willy nilly. Why should she?

I think you may have let our recent progress get a head of you.

Ah, this familiar old debate about money. Every summer we come back to it like a comfy old jumper. <hug>

It should be clear by now, not least because the board has said it over and over again, that they want the club to be self-sustaining...ie., run at breakeven or a profit.

I don't think that is clear yet to a large number of people, despite the club saying it over and over.

This is the part I admire about our Board. They just won't let things run away from us again. It nearly did once.

I just remembered that Leicester had a great run at the end of last season. They continued it into the start of this season. They must have had the same manager right? Oh wait, they didn't. As long as we get the right replacement in and we don't sell a **** load of our players (which I don't think will happen) we can still improve.

get Ranieri :)

We're going to be a very attractive option for a lot of managers. I'm looking forward to seeing who we appoint next.
This is the way to be, Tom.

Saints has never been so attractive to managers.

Top six football, three consecutive top eight finishes. Richest league in the world. Europa group stages.

Top level facilities and the owner is preparing to further expand on that, too. Talented squad already here.

Supportive board who don't meddle in managerial matters.

There'll be good managers queuing up from all over Europe just in hope of getting an interview with the board.

I wonder if Tim Sherwood will throw his hat in the ring again...

It does depends where on the "breakeven or profit" scale they fall, though. Breakeven is responsible (though sometimes it's financially worth it to spend a bit extra now if it pays more down the road). Trying to make sizable year-on-year profits would be less so.
