Pleased to hear my assumption was wrong. I suspect the stupidity on Saintsweb is probably down to a few who post a lot. You know...those people with no lives who have nothing better to do than post constantly......oh.
Thing is, several years ago, they started charging an annual fiver to make unlimited posts on there, limiting those that didn't pay to 3 posts per day. Two things happened from that: 1] You got a smaller committed member group, and 2] very quickly that smaller group started to polarise because only the more outspoken committed to paying. Then one group of opinion started to dominate and most of the others pushed off for good. I lost touch with a lot of people I'd known since the beginnings of Saints Forever. After about the 2nd or 3rd year of that situation I got out. I'd long since given up talking about Saints on there anyway. Just putting out fires much of the time. It wasn't fun anymore.
I quite often read Saintsweb, as news normally appears there before it does here.
But most of them are genuinely bat **** crazy! I would never sign up there. I'm a huge fan of the Not606 positive view on things. (Everyone on here has talked me off the ledge a few times in previous meltdowns

We are only positive because we do not realise just how desperate things really are. Goodness knows where we will get our next manager from after all who would want to manage a club that can't keep it's manager or players every season and then there is the probability that we will run out of luck with the new signings after we flog half our team this summer and end up getting relegated and then Kat will flog us off to some dodgy hedge fund who really will asset strip us and before you ****ing know it we will be playing bloody derbies with Pompey every year in Division 2. Not that I am moaning of course but my Pompey friends say Saints will flog anything if there is a bob in it for them. Then there is the stadium. We never should have (should of if your ill educated) moved from the Dell as we have lost all of our atmosphere at games and lets be honest half our players are crap and the other half are even worse and look at the scandalous price of season tickets. I could have bought a flat in London for what I have paid in ticket prices over the years and to top it all we have won sod all but a tin pot trophy and a single FA Cup. We have no ambition even Lawrie Mac buggered off because we lacked ambition so no surprise that Ron has walked then is it. We even drained Le God of any ambition and he just hung around with us when he could have been a superstar and played for England if he had been a Man U reserve. Then there are the fans who moan and boo their own players and **** off well before the game is over and never sing proper songs only anti Pompey rubbish. We need a proper club, proper players, a proper team and a proper manager. We'll never achieve anything people just see us little family club always happy to sell the family silver. We once had a proper academy but that has gone to pot. Then there is this website full of a bunch of bloody ageists who are always telling me I am a miserable old sod and as for the women who post on here you get the feeling they would cut your balls of if they had half a chance - a right pair - a Taff and a Cork Head not that I would ever insult anybody or be anything but positive.
They are not far wrong either............I'll leave the ladies to deal with the rest of your rubbish..............

I think he was being ironic. Mind you, he mentioned only 2 ladies....when Whiteley realises she has been missed.... Let's just say, you'd want to keep her away from the secateurs.They are not far wrong either............I'll leave the ladies to deal with the rest of your rubbish..............

Apparently it is being suggested that Ron is dragging this out because he is due a bonus after two years.....

If Ron's after a bonus, then I vote that we simply sack him at 23:59 on the day before he's due his bonus.

I cannot deny that he has earned the bonus after the last two seasons, but there is something graceless about it. I hope we factored this in with our compo package, so that Everton are effectively paying it. Obviously Ronald is the type of man who'd flay a flea for the leather.
If there is a bonus in his contract, let's pay it gracefully. Arrange a time for him to come to St Mary's when he can sign the receipt/collect a cheque, then accidentally let that time slip to Adam Blackmore and the Echo who can tweet it out publicly.

I bet his house will be cleared by other people....he won't be back in Southampton till the Everton fixture. Fixture list out soon....that will be a sell out.
No doubt his new house in Scouseland will be cleared out at some stage too, but not expected at the time. Then it will be time to check eBay for old Manager of the Month Awards to come up to be bid for...........
