Who would you have as our next Manager

This situation is a funny one for me. I actually didn't have any distaste towards Everton at the beginning of this process. They offered our manager more money, he accepted it, fair enough, we move on. But the arrogance of some of their fans on twitter is astounding!! Therefore, if we could give them a thrashing at Goodison, I would certainly raise a glass or two.

Their arrogance has been strange. It started as "we should have Mourinho / Simeone" (and still is to an extent) to "look how at how much bigger our club is that we can steal away a manager that we don't really want". All very odd

Officially a mess now. So koeman hasn't spoken to Everton yet as we haven't agreed anything. His new agent cocking things up big time. Either way rk is not going to come out of this well

Where is this from?
It is now impossible to know which "news source" might actually be correct

If that is the case then replacements would have been thought of and potentially approached (just more secretively and professionally than Everton have done)

Les Reed would have already thought of the possible replacements the day Koeman signed for Saints. That's how he works.

No you won't. We'll have no apologising to Evertonians, thanks.

... and no apologising for remaining positive until the FACTS prove you wrong :emoticon-0109-kiss:
Just plays into the hands of the cynics who are wrong more times than they would have us remember.

How come believing something positive and being wrong is 'naive' yet believing something negative and being wrong is just being a 'realist'?

I can't say I'm not sad :emoticon-0153-broke but every new drama in our march upwards leaves me with just a little more belief in our club :emoticon-0152-heart
We should be singing songs about Katerina, Ralph and Les :1980_boogie_down:

I genuinely feel quite proud of this board, as we've actually been on the whole incredibly sanguine about this whole thing. No meltdown to speak of at all.

I don't know if that's a reflection on this situation, a trusting of the board, or the fact we've kinda got used to this crap now, but either way, well done Not606 crew!

They've spoken to Everton. They're just back tracking now because it looks bad. I wouldn't be surprised if it drags another few days. In fact if I was Les, I'd procrastinate on the compo and permission to speak while we beavered away on the replacement. Then announce ours very quickly after Everton announce Koeman.

No need for niceties now.

Indeed. And if the board really are thinking about Howe at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually in relation to him being the future replacement for Ron's replacement, rather than being Ron's replacement.

Whether it's one target, or three targets, or whatever, I am absolutely confident that Les has this under control.

Didn't the board tell us that they always have a list and knew who they wanted when Poch left & Koeman signed. That won't have changed.

Bingo. If we sign someone as soon as Koeman officially leaves, we come out of this looking very professional. Perhaps even a double press conference to announce Koeman leaving/new guy coming in if we can get the timing just right.

We have hidden comic talents on this forum Greg. You need to stay sharp. :)

Good tip. Perhaps this should not be a sunday morning pursuit then

And hidden comic talents are better than the other forum where the not so hidden talents seem to be wailing, teeth gnashing and finger pointing (thankfully they don't post here)

We can be fierce too Greg. Another tip, watch out for the Eastwick Three.... That's all I'll say :emoticon-0107-sweat

Why are people on this site being so positive when everywhere else is in meltdown mode? Is it because we haven't the remotest idea of what is actually going on?

It seems to me that the vast majority of football fans are over reactive idiots who go into meltdown at the drop of a hat. Throw in that obviously quite a lot of our fans are getting increasingly frustrated at us losing players/managers every year and you can see why there would be this reaction. Thankfully it seems that here we have mainly level headed posters who can see both sides to things and don't massively over react (well apart from Tom in the heat of the moment)
