Well if it's offside it basically didn't happen, it isn't a chance.

Correct.

Things like numbers of corners are used to give an idea of a team's dominance, ie like yesterday when we had a huge amount of corners.

No one uses offsides and disallowed goals to try to say they played well though, because that stat just proves you're playing badly!

Ultimately to claim Everton were anything other than lucky to even get a draw is ridiculous. However until we stop wasting good opportunities time and again in games with a poor final ball be it shot, header, cross or pass we will struggle to beat teams that we should. We certainly need a lot of work on our corners, at both ends too. Hopefully the break now will give us time to reset and hopefully get Isak and Wilson back then have a push to January when again hopefully we will get some new blood in and Botman back.

The fact that you couldn’t break down a side with makeshift FB’s tells me it wasn’t luck.

Of course it was luck, we should have easily won.

The full back wasn't Everton's only weakness, the forwards were rubbish, ie DCL ****ing that great chance up and that free kick walloped out the stadium right at the end.

Everton we're completely dominated and outplayed in midfield. Doucoure has a goal disallowed and then spends the rest of the game being the knackered lumbering ox he is. We just missed a proper striker.

I think I’ve covered our poor final ball really. Ultimately we dominated but won’t win those games till we sort that but we’re at least getting into the positions where we flunked the final ball. Everton were hanging on.

Sounds like that’s the problem. Did Osula get on?

Nah.

Osula looked ok vs AFC, but ready for Prem? I dunno.

Gordon had a bad day finishing, pen saved and one on one blasted over, but otherwise he was good, full of energy and making runs and creating stuff. He just can't be expected to be an out and our striker.

Now we know why the black and white Mackens are still upset.
1906 banter.
