Well if it's offside it basically didn't happen, it isn't a chance.
It was he just needed to stay onside... they still created the opportunity.

Of course he’s confident at penalties and scored one last week so in the absence of Isak or Wilson he only took the penalty to try to be the hero? Was nice to see Gordon keep up his usual standard of performance at Goodison….before and after his move.
Wanted to be the hero……

You really don’t change your penalty taker because they used to play for the opposition. Football and penalties are high pressureWe would find this highly satisfying if the situation was reversed. I particularly liked how he put such a visual effort in to his penalty taking process before taking a **** one.
The decision to take it was the wrong one... the crowd would not have put so much pressure on another player.
Newcastle imo are not the smartest side you'll find and definitely a bit of a soft touch psychologically.
All that said it's probably a good point because it's never easy to get a win at Goodison which I'd advised all week.

The player on the line wasn’t flukey, good tactic. The actual clearance was flukey as it could have gone anywhere but job done. The clearance off the line…..wasn’t flukey.
like the offside trap, perfect play

Thereby stopping “the chance”. We were caught offside more than once in good positions but no one is calling them chancesDefenders can deal with the other sides chances using various methods and one method is to catch them offside.

If Schar was farther back he had more chance of winning the header or putting off the other player so like I said the offside dramatically changes the situation.Schar could've played him on.. there was the chance.
Well i never knew that!

Well in that case every man who is on the line and blocks could be classed as lucky, who knows. It didn’t go in, so call it whatever you like is the summary.
We're not very good tbh...we're not ****e but not as good as 2 years ago suggested. 8th best is about where I see us and that's fine.
I’d personally **** January window off and have 2 seasons of psr profits and kick **** out of it in the summer.Ultimately to claim Everton were anything other than lucky to even get a draw is ridiculous. However until we stop wasting good opportunities time and again in games with a poor final ball be it shot, header, cross or pass we will struggle to beat teams that we should. We certainly need a lot of work on our corners, at both ends too. Hopefully the break now will give us time to reset and hopefully get Isak and Wilson back then have a push to January when again hopefully we will get some new blood in and Botman back.
Who are you talking about here - Villa or Newcastle?
"We" seems to mean a lot of different things for you
