It clearly didn't work cos he was offside!
What are we having both ways? There's only one way to look at it, ie it was offside and wasn't a chance.

The conversation started with me saying take the penalty out of the equation.
Newcastle really didn't do anything and considering Everton managed 2 shots on goal with 30 % possession and Newcastle 3 shots in goal with 70% that confirms it.
The clearance off the line…..wasn’t flukey.

No they created the chance and Newcastle managed to play them offside.
The same as Newcastle creating a chance and the Everton player managing to be in the right place on the line.
It was two in one really..gueye shot over after the pope save, that was even easier than a penalty.
