This is actually.my favourite time of these tournaments.

The last group game where theres real stuff on the line and the first knockouts.

The gaps between games get longer after this and theres less games.

It's also when England are just still in usually ;)

So your favourite stage is the one where England go out?

It's coincidental I'm sure that my intereet wins as tournaments enter their final games.

We go from a game every day of interest to 3 and 4 day gaps, this point feels like when the tournament is really alive.

The opening games are cagey but the last group games are do or due and knockouts are always the same.

BREAKING: England fans have been told they will face a one match ban if they sing the 10 German Bombers song at Wembley.

Yeah, good luck with that <laugh>

Wonder what they're going to do about the Anti-Gay chanting by the Hungarian fans on Wednesday.

Probably nothing, heaven forbid uefa offends the Eastern block.

I think it was six of one and half a dozen of the other wasn't it. Both sides could be sanctioned.

People get offended by everything nowadays. Unless it's library like silence, it'll never end.

That's a bit harsh. Go easy on them and make it three.

There is nothing to be scared of for England in the knockout stages - Alan Shearer

I'm going for Wales to edge this, it will be tight though, not much between these two. Wales have a couple/few game changing individuals but the rest of the team is questionable, Denmark don't have the individuals but maybe more to offer overall across their team

Amazingly I find myself agreeing with Robbie Savage there - never a yellow card.

Been a few of them given. Feel like the instructions from refs this tournament are any contact with arms is a foul. The ‘foul’ by Lovren v Czech that resulted in a penalty was exactly the same. 2 people challenge for the ball, one wins it and their arm grazes the opposition.

Wales looked decent first 10-15 minutes. Needed a goal to take advantage though after that was all 1 way traffic.
