Still think he should of tried to tempt Scholes out of retirement- 37 and still the best CM England have.
I think Germany are pretty much nailed on for the Euros this year. England don't have a chance, they are without doubt the least stimulating football team I have ever seen
Predictable and slow, but there is talent. We can get to the semis if we avoid Spain. France have great players, but they're even worse than us at getting them to play together. Sweden always seem to trouble us, but we can probably edge past them, and Ukraine are ****e. I wouldn't fancy our chances against Holland, Germany or Spain, but the rest we can beat.

Same with Micah Richards at one stage (when Johnson was injured, and Jones looked liable)
How was Micah a dick?
Because he didn't want to be put on the Reserve List when the squad was announced, same with Carrick - both who subsequently had a chance of being called up who couldn't
Not what i heard, i heard he wasn't put on there by Roy. Even on twitter Micah was saying how gutted he was, but was wishing good luck to the team.
Oh rightMaybe I misheard I don't know, but I'm sure thats what I heard somewhere along the line
Think it was Carrick that acted like a prick, plus Foster basically retired to. Saying he did it for football reasons.

If he did that though, he'll have been criticsed for going backwards - he can't win!
Carrick and Richards should of both been in the squad anyway, shocking decision to take neither.
Not really sure to be honest, just I think everyone always moans about how we have no technical players and we can't string more than 3 passes together, and then we don't take the one player who is actually really good at keeping possession, after having a great season as well. I think with regards to what you're talking about is he said he didn't want to be on the bench, which although I sort of agree, isn't the way to go about it. I'd be tempted to drop Rooney if he said he didn't want to be on the bench.

Would like to have seen Richards in the squad. But I'm of the opinion that there must be something with him that we don't know - two England managers have now completely overlooked him, plus Mancini was saying bad things about him earlier this season, about his attitude etc. Maybe he's got bad habits?
Yeah 100% agree that no player should be issuing that sort of ultimatum, but I can see where his frustrations coming from, ability wise he should be in our starting 11, and he has had a great season for United as well, an English midfielder who can actually keep the ball! Has definitely gone about it the wrong way about it though.Agree wrt Richards but as discussed above, Carrick had already said he didn't want to be considered. Not just for the reserve list, he actually said he didn't want to go unless he was going to be in the starting line-up. In my view a player has absolutely no right to make that kind of ultimatum.
Think they just don't rate his defensive ability to be honest.
