.. you think so? ... my view is that he has fallen well short of his full aim ... UKIP may have accumulated the disenfranchised right wing inclined types, plus a floating protest vote that will more than likely fade away come a general election ... and Nigel Farage has perhaps acheived a pseudo-celebrity staus and I'm sure many would love to see him on 'I'm A Celebrity get Me Out Of Here" ,,, but that's it really ... still a million miles away from having any real voice in the House Of Commons ...for many he's just an occasionally comic, jolly-toff, version (and therefore more palatable generally) of Nick Griffin ..

How **** must the opposition be if they couldn't beat him?

.... at the last general election UKIP received 3.8 million votes from a population of 65 million .... Farage couldn't even win the seat he stood in ... dress it up how yu like buddy but you can't argue with the facts ... UKIP are a proverbial Gudgeon in the Pond of UK politics ... Greens are minnows ... watch out for the Perch, Zander (European migrant) and Pike <laugh>
Did all 65 million, vote?

3.8 million votes, already, for a party that's just emerging? That is fantastic!

With 12.6% of the votes, thats 3rd over all, Bit bigger than a Gudgeon, more like a Barbel (with lasers)

Boris hasn't "jumped ship" - he dropped out of the Conservative Party leadership race
Farage hasn't "jumped ship" - he has achieved his aim
what lies did any of them say?

Why are you so Gullible ......here we have the two main people telling people lies and they have been caught and both can see that things are going pear shape and not as smooth as the thought. They can see the country in melt down and we have not even left yet so yep they have both jumped ship to let everyone else take the flack when or if we leave and we will be in our biggest nightmare in our history.....the cowards know what they are doing alright...

"Telling lies" but you are not able to say what they are

<laugh>

The opinion poll carried NO LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO ACT ON IT, what part of that haven't you grasped? There was no 'law' passed reference it.

However, that's not even what's being discussed, it's how they do act on it LEGALLY that we're discussing, and the legal profession seems fairly unanimous that it'll have to go through parliament, as the 1972 act that we joined under, has to be repealed and this can only be done by the House of Commons.
He's grasped very little of the debate beyond "we've got our country back" whatever the **** that actually means! <laugh>

Farage himself said the £350m a week to the NHS was bollocks, and that they shouldn't have claimed that

And then totally distanced himself from it by saying he wasn't even part of Leave, and it was their claim not his.

So even he was calling them liars.....

I love Farage! He's like the 'mate' you have who gets pissed, starts a row in a bar, and then ****s off quick and leaves his mates to fight the fight that he started!..

So why did you assume he's going to resign as an MEP but now say "of course he is" when it is pointed out he's staying as an MEP?

I didn't assume he was going to step down as MEP and I apologise if it came across that way. I just meant it would make negotiations easier with the EU if he did step down from his role as MEP and now he has stepped down as UKIP leader.

If it wasn't so tragic and damaging it would be hilarious wouldn't it?

All the people who started this mess in the 1st place - Cameron, Farage and Boris and (the last in particular) made wildly ridiculous lies and promised the world just to get people to vote their way have now ****ed off so they don't have to deal with the fallout of their **** up. They have all run away from the responsibility and are going to leave someone else to clean up the mess...

It'd have been much better if they'd all have ****ed off years ago and left us in peace!

... nothing sadder than a Gudgeon that thinks it's a Barbel <laugh> ... giving it large then along comes a Heron .. and before you can say Koi Crap (intentional) ... it ends up as a bird's breakfast ... I believe it's refereed to as the "Merkelfcuked" effect around Europe ...

I dont see why any of that will make any difference. UKIP are not involved in the negotiations. It will be the government organising the negotiations. If they want to bring in other people they can whatever their positions are.

It's funny I kept hearing all this talk of 'getting our country back' and I was getting quite jealous, I was beginning to think my country had been on a holiday somewhere without taking me. But then I had a look out the window and lo and behold, my country was right where it had always been, and I quickly realised these people were talking balls!

A representative (I shudder to have to say that about Farage) going to the EU Parliament and telling all the people we'll be negotiating with to **** off while supposedly representing us does none of us any favours and does hugely affect our negotiating position whether he is officially involved in the negotiations or not!
