When the government pass the law for the referendum it was said it will active the outcome IN or OUT. MPs voted as such. No need for a debate in parliament now.
<laugh>

The opinion poll carried NO LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO ACT ON IT, what part of that haven't you grasped? There was no 'law' passed reference it.

However, that's not even what's being discussed, it's how they do act on it LEGALLY that we're discussing, and the legal profession seems fairly unanimous that it'll have to go through parliament, as the 1972 act that we joined under, has to be repealed and this can only be done by the House of Commons.

Slagging Nigel Farage as a muppet. Yet this is a guy who wasn't even a politician and came in off the street to take the UK out of Europe. He's achieved his full aim in 25 years. Not the work of a muppet. He's got the majority of the UK to agree with him.

Why is everybody talking about the UKIP party, when the Labour party committed ****ing war crimes on a monumental level?

UKIP set out what they wanted to achieve and by achieving that, they haven't half upset the lefties. Good <laugh>

I think it's the default attitude of the looney left: decry all achievement

OMG First Boris jumps ship and now farage has jumped ship.....These two lunatics caused this mess with their lies and conning the public big time and now these cowards have left everyone else to clean up the mess.....the country is in melt down and they both know it and don't want to be around when Brexit kicks in......If everything was hunkidory these two twats would be basking in the glory...

There's no way they will acknowledge Farage and UKIP as a massive success. No way at all. That's what they have been though and thanks to UKIP, the majority of the country have been able to vote us out of the EU.

Thanks Nigel <hug>

.. you think so? ... my view is that he has fallen well short of his full aim ... UKIP may have accumulated the disenfranchised right wing inclined types, plus a floating protest vote that will more than likely fade away come a general election ... and Nigel Farage has perhaps acheived a pseudo-celebrity staus and I'm sure many would love to see him on 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" ,,, but that's it really ... still a million miles away from having any real voice in the House Of Commons ...for many he's just an occasionally comic, jolly-toff, version (and therefore more palatable generally) of Nick Griffin ..

Farage is a far right crank, who is a politician by the way - as irony of ironies he's a paid MEP, a role in which he seemingly fully intends to continue in, lapping from the trough that he's decried....

Leave wouldn't have won without the respectability given to the campaign from bumbling Boris and Gove.

Boris hasn't "jumped ship" - he dropped out of the Conservative Party leadership race
Farage hasn't "jumped ship" - he has achieved his aim
what lies did any of them say?

But for the majority....

.... at the last general election UKIP received 3.8 million votes from a population of 65 million .... Farage couldn't even win the seat he stood in ... dress it up how yu like buddy but you can't argue with the facts ... UKIP are a proverbial Gudgeon in the Pond of UK politics ... Greens are minnows ... watch out for the Perch, Zander (European migrant) and Pike <laugh>
