There was only one result that came out of this and Boris and his right wing cronies and Farage will lie through their teeth to gain power and the innocent out voters let their heads rule their hearts and were conned big time.....these people dont give a toss about anybody as they know they wont suffer like the rest of us and we can see now it is not a price worth paying......Mind you we were all told this by every single party leader and 8 out of 9 economists and the banks and every other trading partner all over the world...If people say its a duck and it quacks like a duck then its a duck and people chose to believe the right wing and racist party......how wrong can so many people be and now we are in melt down that will get worst and worse as the effects of coming out kicks in.....we have seen nothing yet and while Boris and Farage gloat is it a price worth paying for the future of our kids that will lose the true feelings of being European and everything it has to offer....

Very true, a lot of it. Whilst there are many intelligent and informed leave voters, far too many, as you say, were conned by Farage and Boris. They bought either the 'get rid of the immigrants' or 'take back control' argument.
Well, the sort of immigration that most of them don't want will not stop. And as for having control, they have none over what's happening to the UK economy now, nor will they in the future.
You certainly have to pretend to be relaxed as it becomes increasingly obvious that you voted for false policies and a weaker Britain. The alternative is admitting that you were duped by a confused buffoon and a powerless fascist.

It's interesting reading the posts on here from people telling us why we voted as we did, and why we must now be regretting it.
I've yet to meet anybody in real life that feels that way. Most seem fairly clued up to the reality that it'd hit the economy hard, so aren't at all surprised it has, and take the view that we are where we are. That includes those I've met that voted to remain.
It seems the surprise is from some on here that hadn't realised the feelings of so many in the general population of the UK.

Boris isn't in meltdown, he's in shutdown! He's practically disappeared since the referendum result. He's probably sketching up an exit plan as he's now got to make it up as he goes along.

It's a few days after the vote, it's far too earlier to judge if it was the correct decision, or whether it will make Britain stronger or weaker and plenty of Out voters didn't vote on the false promises being thrown around, just like plenty of remain voters didn't vote based on the false scare stories about leaving.
By the way, with all the talk of Leave voters changing there minds to remain after the vote, it's intesting to me that on social media feeds I've seen a couple of people over the last couple of days saying they voted remain but if the vote happened again they would vote leave. These are left wing, socialist types by the way. So it would appear plenty of people are only really making there minds up after the vote has already occurred!
Oh and one more thing ..That speech by Farage this afternoon was insulting and disgraceful towards our European cousins and i want to make this plain....Racist Farage does not in any way shape or form speak or represent me and millions of other Brits......He showed everyone what a spoilt over privileged twat he really is. I embrace Europe and i know we will still be part of it when all this mess is sorted....
In all seriousness do you not think there's some truth in the fact you were duped.
They've admitted there is no plan.
They've admitted that immigration will continue.
They've admitted that the NHS promises were unrealistic.
They've admitted they want to stay in the European trade markets (and will eventually admit that free movement will come with that).
What will Brexit achieve? Nothing will change other than we won't have any influence on EU policies which, if we want to trade with them, will effect the UK.
I was never pro EU, I was pro a plan and it became very obvious that the Leave campaign didn't have one. They only cared about getting our country back, whatever that was supposed to mean.
Boris is in hiding as he has to fix it, Nigel is out there mouthing off, winding the MEPs up (which will make Boris's job more difficult) but we all know Nigel has no power.
It's a real mess fella.
What sort of ****wit believes anything any politician says, no matter which side they're on? That was more of an issue than anything they spouted and to be fair, I never paid too much heed to what either side said, I did my own thinking.
I think most had already worked out that the leave lot were not in a position to deliver any promises. It's madness for you to think they could.
They were out of touch with the general feeling. Insisting that you know what people like me really think, despite me saying otherwise, says you're not much better.

Tbh even if that is the case in that it would be effectively what we have but without the voting rights, i dont see that as totally bad. As a nation the influence we have was limited and its the technocrats with their ideas on there goal of what they want the eu to become who wield the power.
We will now be able to govern our own tariffs and free to negotiate separate trade deals, something a number of governments have indicated they would like.
The only negative would be that as a financial centre we may suffer from one of the eurozone financial centres but we will see if this comes to pass.
It's down over 10% vs the dollar. And around 8% vs euro.
Yes, it will swing around, but it can drop even more yet...
