I think it's political positioning, the other Leave campaigners have started distancing themselves from the immigration stuff and I think he feels if he keeps it up it gives him a platform for any GE that is held in the near future.

I was asking if you were foolish enough to think that it was better to have numerous chains of command, which has always ended in failure, or one. It's pretty clear which way you'd go.
