That was a question although I admit it was missing a question mark at the end of the sentence. It's difficult to read it as a statement though.

I tried to answer in full, but for the sake of simplicity, no I don't feel duped, because I didn't pay much notice of either side and believed little of what I read.

Can you see why your question's a strawman?

Fair enough so what was your vote based on? Not that I'm saying it should be based on what the politicians said but as Brexit was and is a complete unknown, why did you go for it?

Was your question about being duped aimed at all leave voters or the specific person you replied to?

The self and same reasons I've posted several times on this thread, some of which were touched on in my reply which you described as 'defensive'.

The issue is more why you and some others kept/keep on insisting you know better than me what I think? Can you not see how attitude's like that are actually part of the problem, and similar to the ones that caused so many people to vote as they did?

They're interviewing Eastern Europeans who were working their arses off picking beans in a field in Worcestershire.. I'm sat here wondering which of the fat Jeremy Kyle watching benefit scroungers off our council estates will running to the job centre to take these jobs when there is non of them left here to do it.

What a shambles. I'm disgusted by this country. I only hope that more of them come over here quickly and the Turks get into Europe asap just to piss off all the imbeciles that have never worked or have any intention to do so. ****ers.
<applause>

This entire debacle has uncovered the disgusting underbelly of what has lain hidden behind a charade of respectability in this country. A xenophobic, blame culture ridden cesspit of fecklessness.

It's interesting reading the posts on here from people telling us why we voted as we did, and why we must now be regretting it.

I've yet to meet anybody in real life that feels that way. Most seem fairly clued up to the reality that it'd hit the economy hard, so aren't at all surprised it has, and take the view that we are where we are. That includes those I've met that voted to remain.

It seems the surprise is from some on here that hadn't realised the feelings of so many in the general population of the UK.

Whilst at the same time telling everyone we've not seen the effects yet and ignoring the pounds miraculous recover after it "look so doomed" on the first day ;)

So you hang round with people who are disengaged from the reality of what an economic downturn actually means then, ergo losers.

It's retraced a bit, that's all. A 'miraculous recovery' it ain't! Still down over 10% vs dollar and just slightly less vs euro....
