That's true but we may aswell not enter then. Point is we should be good enough to go toe to toe with whoever we get in the last 16. I don't expect as much if we end up with one of the big boys. We are not big boys, yes we won it in 66 but we are not big boys...so long as the fans remember that, it should be ok.
True but a piss off though. I’ve seemingly seen a tiny country like Portugal in 5-6 semi finals since a i last saw England in one in 96 (at home).

Yeah, that is true, if you are thinking in PL terms, England would be about on par with Everton..

Good or bad?

I don't think he'll do a bad job as he has a great attitude. I liked the idea of Dier though particularly if he was playing that libero role where he steps in and out the back 3. There were only a few in the running really with Walker, Dier, Henderson, Kane. I'd prefer it wasn't Henderson as it would mean him having to play every game. I think there are games where we will need a more creative option where teams sit back.
