Re GS standing by his picking of Henderson what would anyone rate the Saudi League at re standard compared to the English league.

For those like me that have no idea how it works or what that game means...

The nine group winners and the three best runners-up (not counting results against sixth-placed teams) will qualify directly for the final tournament in summer 2025 alongside hosts Slovakia. The other six runners-up will progress to the November 2024 play-offs for the last three finals spots.

Just watched the full game, we were poor up until the 2 City boys came on, and then started to look more threatening. Really poor defending to allow them to get the winner, though they look a good side. Was impressed with their number 8, lovely left foot. Couldn't understand why Elliott was playing right wing for most of the game, he needed to be more central. How often it happens, you have a big win, then the next game is after the lord mayor show.

Rashford and Foden the worst players in that first half for me. Maguire's incisive pass created the opening that won the penalty, the kind of thing that the trendier defenders probably couldn't pull off. That quality on the ball is a big part of his value to the team which people underestimate.
