Henderson was poor yesterday and I can't really see Delph being ahead of Drinky ... Rashford is a real talent and personally I would take him ... but if you do that you then have to consider leaving out an additional midfielder or Sturridge ... will be interesting ...

Personally I don't think Milner, Henderson or Delph is good enough at the level that will be needed in the latter stages ... they would be my 3 to leave behind ...

As things stand I don't think we need to worry about the latter stages....

Wouldn't you think having the 2 most prolific strikers in the PL in the England team that you'd play the 2 midfielders that had supplied them all season, that they already have an understanding with.

The more I think about it the more I would leave Rooney behind which I was quite against (I've never thought he should be in the starting lineup). Either him or rashford shouldn't go. I don't think rashford is ready but he could be a wild card. Rooney negatively effects our style imo and the reason for me that he is so hard to leave behind is his influence off the pitch and his experience but you can't go picking players purely for those reasons. He has to have an impact on the pitch but I would prefer to bring on rashford or Sturbridge if I were chasing a goal. He wants to play as a midfielder and he ain't good enough there. He'll just try to play like Carrick if he does play there so why not just take him instead (not that I think we should).

We are not alone in believing Danny should be included

Much was made during and after the last match how imperative it is that Alli plays due to his exceptional understanding with St Harry. Ergo, the same should be said of Danny. Additionally, with our defence not being the best, being kind, wouldn't it be useful to have a defensively capable midfielder.

.. DD has done everything he possibly could ... the goal against Chelsea showed that he can also notch ... the through ball to Vardy against the Turks that created the chance for Kane showed that DD is the best foil for Vards without question ... let's face it - was the best ball to Vardy all game ... up to Woy now ... DD can release the Vardmeister ... Milner-Skuffit can release the Swamp dweller lookalike and also give the opposition keepers some catching practice ... Henderson can wander around like an orienterer that's lost her compass and Delph can collect yellow cards due to a sceond touch that is usually a tackle ... come on Woy ... do the wight thing <ok>

We have had a fantastic season, because we have fantastic players. Consistently fantastic players. The only midfield player in the squad that has had anything approaching the season that Danny has had is Ali, he of the short fuse. Milner has had arguably his best season ever. Henderson, Lallana, Wilshere, Delph, and Sterling would not get a game for Leicester.

Milner looked blown against Sevilla ... Woy moust have noted that too ...

Drinkwater starts alongside Wilshere and Henderson who I bet will do their best to keep him out the game. I feel Woy will have decided to leave him out no matter what he does tonight....

I think he's in trouble with Townsend and rashford impressing

Personally I'd drop delph, rashford and Barkley but I think he'll drop delph, drinkwater and Sturridge

... not sure why Townsend and Rashford impressing against a woeful Australian defence puts Drinky in trouble ... he made more tackles and interceptions than any other England player last night ... starting with one that led to Rushford's goal ...

For me Delph and Sturridge to be left on injury grounds and one of Henderson and Barkley on form or fitness ..and that neither does what Drinky can defensively...

Dier popping it in his own net probably helped Drinky's cause too ...showed his inexperience up ...

Roy the Buffon Hodgson has cut Danny Drinkwater

.. probably no great surprise and also suggests that Vardy will be used as a bench option too ... perfect logic Woy - leave out one part of the mechanics that won a team the title ... even more insulting is that Barkley, Henderson and Wishire have either been crap and / or hardly played ...... I'll try not to laugh when our defensive frailties are cruelly exposed and when one or more of the sicknotes drops out without kicking a ball in anger ...

Utter disgrace - shows that it is not skill and form that earns you a place but who you are.

I predict we will be seeing Rooney and Sturridge as CMs and Vardy on the left wing.
