Haha this sums it up, Hodgson is a shocking manager with his big team mentality, even if the big teams like Man Utd are ****ing terrible this year

Well to be fair I'd say we're the smallest club in the premier league. The only possible rivals are Burnley, but they've got a much better history than we have, and Swansea. Has he picked anyone from them? I think Shelvey's only cap came when at Liverpool at Roy might not even have been boss then.

A few years ago loads of fans berated the manager (or several managers) for picking Ashley Cole when he was clearly one of the best left backs in the world and loads of them bigged up Leighton Baines. Well looking at his form lately he wouldn't get in the Scotland side!

Baines rightly ousted Ashley Cole, he was platig tremendously. Sadly, he's hit a downward slope since. Hopefully Shaw steps up to the promise he's shown, because otherwise we're seemingly left with Gibbs and Bertrand who, although are decent players, aren't that cut above which you need in a team like England.

No Curtis Davies....it's a ****ing disgrace. He has been immense this season, leading us to the FA cup semi and prob uor best league finish ever. How the **** Smalling gets in there when Curtis doesn't is ridiculous

Sorry, thought it was March '14 for a second there

I've never seen Baines have a good game in my life and have stuck rigidly of the opinion that he wasnt fit to lace Ashley's boots.

Cue someone showing free-kicks like against West Ham, but that doesnt mean he had a good game as a left back. His positional play and defending - his job is to defend - is woeful.

Maybe he should have played for England more then. I'd say he could end up being our player of the season.

I think he's been great for us, although Davies was even better last season and he still didn't get a call-up.

I think it's understandable looking to younger players, it's hardly like Daws is a glaring omission.

I wish we were as terrible as being 2 points off 2nd in the league.

Younger players could learn from a good experienced player who is better than them.

Same old Same old. And......FFS,,, Woy's love child Chris Smalling makes it again.

Charlie Austin should have been included for the game in Italy at least.

Forster and Shaw have had to pull out, so he's called up Rob Green and Danny Rose.

Rose getting in over Bertrand is ****ing stupid. But that's Woy all over.

If things get any worse he'll be calling Danny Rose up.
