A LOT of work to do on passing and keeping the ball. Agree Spain. Your namesakes humiliated the Irish yesterday.
If you give the ball away cheaply to a team like Spain, you will have to work very hard to get it back again. Now, I don't expect our clodhoppers to match the levels of individual skill that Spanish players possess, but our ball retention is so piss poor, it's ridiculous.
Still could be our first win over Sweden so we shouldn't complain too much. They've made it tough for us as they usually do. Oh Christ,what a miss.
We deserved that.....just,because we made more chances. First win....hmmm,we could do well in this comp.
Well,we drew against France and beat Sweden so not at all bad. Their first goal was an own goal so we deserved it.
The positive is after going 2-1 down we didn't go on to lose.
The most shocking thing was the supposedly solid defence, Lescott was terrible. The 2nd swedish goal if you watch the replay from behind the goal Mellberg is on his own as are TWO others in a line, one of them Ibrahimovich, how can you leave him free at a set piece????
