Rep for that one!
I look forward to Fredor's reply.
Oh please, no. Can you imagine how long it'll be?
Rep for that one!
I look forward to Fredor's reply.
You rang sir ?Jeez, I started turning blue/purple and had to stop for air half way through that first 'sentence'. I've read it again and still no idea what it means.
There is a top dog and he's one of us.
So fredor, you want us to accept the facts. But you're going to have to enlighten me which carefully selected facts you want us to accept.
You say that Sunderland have a superior record when compared to us, both historically and currently. On what basis is this? You are very wrong about that made up fact. I know you are slow on the uptake so I will spell this out as carefully as possible. Try not to be confused by the full-stops. They are just a literary technique we use over here along with things like paragraphs, commas and capital letters.
Sunderland have won eight major trophies throughout their history, and have also been runners-up eight times. None of these successes were in Europe.
Newcastle United have won eleven major trophies throughout their history, and have been runners-up ten times. This includes winning a European trophy.
I haven't included the Charity Shield. Some clubs include this as a major honour and others don't. If it was included it would weigh things even more in our favour as we have won one and been runners-up (lost) five times, as opposed to your winning one and being runners-up once.
It is clear that historically we have been the more successful club.
However, whenever you quote historical successes you magically make all of the cup competitions disappear from your figures. It is true that, historically, Sunderland have both won the league and been runners-up more often than we have. In order to say that you are the more successful club then you have to maintain this disappearing act and argue that the cups are completely meaningless. I would very much disagree with you, but for argument's sake I am willing to go along with it for a second. If the cups are all completely meaningless and league position is all that matters, as you seem to argue, then the cold hard facts are that currently we are 9th in the league and you are 18th and in a relegation place. If this is how you see things then no wonder you prefer spending so much time on this board. It is the home of a club currently outperforming yours by your way of measuring things.
Of course, I think you are completely wrong. The cups matter a lot and Sunderland are having a cracking season, provided they stay up (which I think they will). The fact that you are willing to write off how important the cup competitions are while also claiming to be a Sunderland fan, along with the fact you live on here and very rarely post on your own board, shows what a poor grasp you have on reality.
I have tried to use little words so that finally you may understand things. I suggest you have a good read, step back into reality, and then - in the nicest way possible - shut up and **** off!
I can't speak for Fredor, and wouldn't want to if I could: however, I will say that top league success trumps the cup competitions every time when it comes to measuring success. This is not writing off cup achievements by the way which come second (FA Cup) and 3rd (League Cup) in the order of measuring domestic success.
Completely agree Whitey, but the difference is that you have a brain to recognise that there is merit in all of them and that there are bragging rights on both sides. fredor on the other hand just likes to spout **** and conveniently ignore the bits he doesn't like.
That's why, as a Newcastle fan, he ignores the Sunderland board.
I'm not sure. Maybe one of your lot who's regular account is banned from here? Perhaps someone who likes to be controversial just to spark debate? Who knows....
So Sunderland will be away to either Brighton or Hull in the quarters. Interesting. Not easy, but certainly winnable.
hahahahahha,
Did you not read post 105 matey?
Specsavers shut?
To summarise again.... it was when we were in the championship... playing a lower league team in the third round.... and yes... a near 16,000 crown is **** even for that level....

tbh I've been IP checking since he popped up and he is indeed in Australia but in lucid moments knows quite a lot about SAFC.
We've seen his pics and he looks madcap so my conclusion is that he's a loony SAFC supporter who likes to camp out on our board (he's not the first one).
At the end of the day though, he's harmless, doesn't abuse anyone and provides opportunities for banter so I have no issue at all.
Just dingos and possums then?

) and he seems to take the abuse we dish out well. Still seems weird that he doesn't contribute on both though. Aren't there ways of alternating your IP address? At least he sparks debate. He can be funny when he's making sense (I think I even repped him once) and he seems to take the abuse we dish out well. Still seems weird that he doesn't contribute on both though. Yes, he flies to Australia in between posting to fool us.
That thread on their board about the attendance is comedy gold...
Well worth a read.
Someone has scoured the archives to dig out a sub 16,000 crowd for us, when we were in the Championship playing Plymouth in the third round of the cup to help console themselves (which we still recognise as a ****e turnout of course... no arguments).
There mod Mush was spot on with his point, it's just a shame the usual 'over sensitives' hop on board the beel bus so easily.
He's a passionate lad, gotta say.
The trigger this time was a poster having the temerity to point out that all he talks about is:
-fighting
- his rich friends / money
- how he lives in Nice
- how 'connected' he is

It's not our fault if you can't progress any further to give us a fair comparison.
You had to log out to view that I take it?
he hardly mentions you
Oh Albert, you can always tell when you've been logging out to pop over as your posts suddenly become entertaining.
He never posts on our board. I find that strange.
oh.. and that favourable poll that solidified my popularity when you chaps voted for me not to be banned.. Them were the days. Please let it be Hull... Smug will combust with beel.
