Smug is loaded mate. He will bring gold bars round as presents and have his mate Elton do a concert in your front room.
Newcastle never fail to have a full stadium and it does us few favours in terms of cup or tangible success eh?
If you win a cup having played to half a crowd all the way to the final then what bloody difference does it make?
There's a popular argument for suggesting many of the substandard players NUFC has fielded over the years have underperformed DUE to the pressure of playing to a full house.
Apparently WE'RE the problem folks!
That said, the commitment and outlay from Newcastle fans over the recent years in the face of perennial mediocrity (at best) is the only thing this club can be proud of.
Not those that 'follow' it out the paper but those who stump up money, time and emotion each week – kicked and battered by Ashley's regime, only to get up for more.
I've said it before but if the honours were dished out based on supporter performance they would be up there for the Premier League title every single season.
Even when we're in the Championship!
