I think if you count the supporters for the FA Cup from Sunderland and Newcastle this season you will find most of these comments irrelevant, for the amount of money that Newcastle supporters have forked out you would be hard pushed buying even Cisse so it is understandable that Sunderland supporters are going broke attending the various cup matches

Give him his due - there's a comma in that one. It's in the wrong place but it's there!

The more I think about this, the more disastrous it would be for the Mackems if they do go down in terms of their squad and prospects for future retun to the Prem.

    Goalkeepers
Mannone - will prpobably be poached by a Prem / European team
Westwood - will be out of contract
Ustari - don't know much about him, but on loan so will want to return.

    Defenders
Dossena - on loan, so will probably return
Alonso - on loan, so will probably return
    Brown - will be hitting 35 (and he's sh**e)
Celustka - on loan, so will probably return
    O'Shea - 33 and also sh**e
Bardsley - will be out of contract
Cuellar - will be out of contract
Vergini - on loan, so will probably return
Roberge - will he stay in the championship? is he good enough?

    Midfielders

Ki -on loan, so will probably return
Larsson - will be out of contract
Gardner - will be out of contract
Colback - will be out of contract
    Ba - he's no Demba
    Bridcutt - will be decent
    Cattermole - likely to stay

    Attacking Midfielders
Johnson A - likely to be poached by Prem club
Giaccherini - will he want to stay in the championsip?
Scocco - don't know enough about him.
Mavrias - don't know enough about him

    Strikers
    Fletcher - will be poached
Wickham - probably right for the Championship
Altidore - will be useful in the championship
Borini - on loan, so will probably return

After that it's kids/players I've not heard of.

I bet that doesn't make easy reading for Sunderland fans.

That's been the subject of much debate. Of the players going out of contract I'd only keep Colback. Of the loan players I'd like to sign up Alonso, ki, borini and from what I've seen Vergini but he's out of contract at the end of the season and will come to us for free providing we stay up. So yeah, I'd have to find eight replacements. I'd promote Watmore and Ba to the full squad leaving me needing 6 players to find. In reality god knows which of the loan signings will be made permanent, we don#t have much luck in nailing them down. Of the out of contract players I think it will be Colback, Bardsley and possibly Seb.

And a lot of those will depend on staying up. Different story if it's championship football on offer.

Our young uns are very promising plus we'll bring others in. Financially we can more than compete. It wouldn't be too bad.

Why? Surely the danger with relegation is not being able to shift the big earners. We'll be sound with parachute payments to bring in some good championship players. Our young players a very promising fella. We've got a proper development squad full of talent, not like your lot languishing 3rd bottom in the development squad table. ;)

Our board decide that cup competition
Are not important not the fans.

If they choose to put all their eggs on the Mickey Mouse cup rather then the best cup competition in the world then that's their watch out:

I can't be bothered to argue with them
However billy the cock got over excited
When we dared to only have 43k people turn up rather then 16k does
    Beg the question wtf?

He's still very lightweight at the moment and they proper bounce him <laugh> Said in his interview that he welcomes it and that it fires him on. He may not have the beef on him yet but he's toughening up nicely. He's still just a boy.

They wont get relegated I don't think. Didn't quite realise how many loans the Mackems had. Thats like half a squad.

Maybe the Mackems could give us some advice on how to organise a proper boycott. They seem to be doing a good job at their place.
