Yet its one and only one relgion that seems to have a real love for this particular version of terrorism time and time again isnt it.
It wasn't terrorism bro, nor religiously or politically motivated, I read the Italian papers. It was a mental health episode.

I was reading one Italian publication and apparently a news crew was attacked at the hospital, emotions running really high, thus family members extremely upset by the days events, just goes to show we should be careful how we comment on these things...

A news crew from the Rai Tgr Emilia-Romagna network was attacked by friends and relatives of the victims outside Maggiore Hospital in Bologna. The crew was covering the aftermath of a tragic incident in Modena. The assailants struck the reporter and operator, while smashing their camera and tripod.

The crew was reporting on the condition of victims from an incident in Modena, where a 31-year-old man deliberately drove his car into a crowd on a sidewalk, injuring eight people before attempting to stab a bystander. Two of the severely injured victims from that event were airlifted to Maggiore Hospital for intensive care.

Following the assault on the media, regional officials—including Emilia-Romagna President Michele de Pascale—publicly condemned the violence, stating that the freedom and safety of the press is an inalienable right.

Not really the right thread, but gives me opportunity to mention something I'd forgotten. I was listening to Trump being interviewed on his flight back from China and he mentioned the death toll in the Ukraine war, I was so surprised by what he said I went and researched it, to check he wasn't making stuff up. I couldn't find exact Ukranian figures, but I found the detail on Russian dead or seriously injured, just in the Month of April 2026, 35,000 I've seen lower figures of 30k, but ****ing hell that's a lot. Wiped out the size of a Championship football ground in one month.

Anyway that's all.

I remember seeing that incident when it was first released, surprised after 2 months they still haven't caught the person. The car was stated in the comments as Honda HR-V which at a guess is 1999. Well they are listed as extremely rare now, so how ****ing difficult can it be to find or who owned it, people don't just rock up to Abbey Wood to target a muslim, so it has to be someone who knows the area.

It's really weird that attack in Abbey Wood, how after two months there is still nowt updated on it - a vehicle like that can't be that difficult to find and it's not an area you would just randomly pass through - there has to be other CCTV / door bell cams that picked it up on route. Damage was caused as well, so it's a hit and run. You'd think the cops would be wanting to reassure local Muslim women for their own safety.

Agree. There is cctv and anpr cameras everywhere these days. Very odd that a red Nissan micra hadn’t been picked up on one of those cameras in the area shortly after that attack

Abbey Wood is on the main road along the Thames through Woolwich and Plumstead and the further along to Woolwich you go you get closer to Belmash where surveillance is everywhere.

That said, that attack looks like it’s on a residential street and you would think it’s a local car too

I've not seen anything officially that's described it as a racist attack, other than 'suspected' by the media. The cops haven't really said anything at all, or I should say I couldn't find anything other than a crime reference number for any information. The Ambulance Service confirmed they did attend the scene and take the woman to hospital. But after that nowt. The camera monitoring the incident seems to be a tracking camera, pans from right to left and focuses on anything central to it's focus - so not a normal fixed camera. Happened on Sunday 8th March.

The bookies offering quite low odds for perceived
"no hopers" , at such an early stage in the contest,
suggests they have more info on the appeal of
Restore on a national level than we do (collectively
there may be a lot of actual betting / wager
inquiries going on etc) .
I still wasn't convinced in why there would be sudden appeal for Restore - so you got me thinking...

and the only thing I could conclude this was in the wake of Streeting speaking of a return to the EU and the same being ASSUMED of Andy Burnham.

Also I did a quick search on Restore as I know **** all about them, and it says they are strictly a hard-line nationalistic alternative.

However, I watched Andy Burnham's speech in Leeds today, and he's clearly wanting to tone down any rhetoric put out by the media or anyone else.

He said he does not want division which going back on the vote would create - it's time for that to stop, he wouldn't take an approach that would cause that and he wants both sides to come together.

All he wants is a more collaborative approach with the EU, which to me is miles away from what some ****-stirrers were trying to portray.

Like I said the other day I will always listen to what he has to say first, rather than judge a guy I don't even know.

In other **** he was chatting about how the North/UK was destroyed 40 years through to today with the de-industrialisation of our country, deregulation and everything being privatised etc.

As for Wes Streeting he can **** the **** off.

The smart money would be it’s someone who knows the woman/family given it has taken this long. If it was some dickhead kids who had nicked a car they’d have been caught ages ago. Still doesn’t make a lot of sense but it’s my best hypothesis.
