How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

He's doing my fooking head in, he knows he's getting slaughtered in the polls, yet funds tax cuts (NIC) that will mount to a shortfall in his budget by £12.5B, it's actually more than that but that's the NIC figure alone. Instead of going after companies as you have highligted, he goes after welfare. While Farage is getting stuff lobbed at him, this prick don't get so much as an egg.

Edit: and he (Rishi) had the cheek to take the piss out of Labour over tax rises.

The Tories look after the rich mate, they always have. There's enough wealth in this country to make sure everybody is housed and has access to decent healthcare and public services, but somehow it's okay for CEOs, Bankers, Hedge fund managers and Tory party donors to amass billions of pounds in personal wealth, whilst your ordinary Joe is working 3 jobs to pay the rent, can't get a GP appt or afford a Dentist.

You Gov poll... Reform just 1 point behind Tories

Lab 38%
Con 18%
Ref 17%
Lib 15%
Grn 8%

Farrage was targeted with stones today.

and then his bus blocked by anti reform protesting In Barnsley. Amazing as that are vote 60+ percent to leave the EU.

I saw a video of somebody lobbing a takeaway cup at his bus, followed by some stuff he grabbed out of a bin on a construction site.

I think the danger is that, like @brb pointed out, you'll get some nutter lobbing acid at a politician soon.

Farage is an utter prick for responding to it with this though

"I will not be bullied or cowed by a violent left-wing mob who hate our country," Mr Farage wrote about the incident on X.

It’s the best thing that could happen to him. He loves the attention.

he will use this to grow his following. But I predicted 1-4 seats maximum, this may just help him secure his seat. Be interesting to see how often he attends if voted in.

The problem for him is that he's embraced it with that 'My milkshake brings all the people to the rally' video

So he's just encouraging people and making himself a target

But you're right, he loves the attention.

If his record in Parliament is anything like his record in the European parliament (the MEP who turned up and voted the least) then he'll just use his seat as a Platform to spout more bile than actually perform as a functioning MP

It's not just welfare. These tax cuts will strip every public service even more under the guise of "efficiency". These ****s will absolutely destroy this country if they get another 5 years.

And what I don't get is why all the reporters stuck to questioning about tax cuts instead of scrutinising how the country's going to pay for it.

What I don't get is why labour are not challenging it in the way that Pinkie put it to me earlier, regarding oil company profits etc, this is a big problem for me, because it appears Labour are being weakened for fear of upsetting certain demographics in the last four weeks - so it's a case of keep our heads down and let's just get through this. And for me that does not say what Labour really want to do, will they follow a Tory light policy when they get in, where will that leave public services and welfare, will it be five years of 'well the tories emptied the pot' I'm sure Labour can only be a better alternative after the last 14 years, but when I see Labour MP's on my tv not challenging in the same manner as you and Pinks, it is a worry.

Edit: instead they highlighted how this will affect people, well done her, but why not raise the points why don't you tax x y z to the tories, instead of being all smiley and polite.

Labour polled under 40% for the first time, insane Lib Dem surge in the latest poll, 15%.

Numbers like that, if the Tories get below 20% would put the Liberals into opposition.

Lol some Lib Dems saying "things can only get Edder."

This.

This.

And this again!

I said it before mate, no conviction, lacking self-belief and principles.

The argument "oh let's not upset so and so, let's not give the press ammunition to damage us" is utter bollox.

When I listen to ppl on radio and news they're not banging on about tax cuts. They're all talking about the state of public services.

And where's "productivity" in this GE?? That's what Labour should've focused on. There's huge potential in building an industry on green energy. Labour had a plan to create jobs and use the skills of 10's of thousands of workers in fossil fuel to move to green as well as R & D. They scrapped that with the £28bn. But their reason for doing so was bollox mate. What happened was they **** their pants the day after Conservatives held on to Uxbridge in the by election and the Tories started attacking green energy thinking it was a vote winner. Labour cowardice.

There's a part of me that hopes that this is all about keeping your powder dry and once they win they go big and bold. That's a hope rather than an expectation though.
