You take out three of your best players and see how well you get on.

I think you have a quality squad with the POTENTIAL to consecutively finish in the top four already, but not strong enough to win the league. In order to do so, a bigger investment must be made in wages - not only to purchase more players but to keep the current stars (Modric, Bale etc) at the club.

It actually flatters me as a Chelsea fan to see you lot so happy about being above us in the league and shouting about winning it, rather than have a bit of banter about who will actually win it over on the United/City board :)

To be honest we have never been a sucker when it comes to injuries. We always cope very well when key players are injured (just look at our title winning seasons). I'll give you that this season would be the exception, take out Mata, Sturridge and Terry then we are totally different.

We didn't have Essien, Romeu and Drogba for United <doh>

More often than not we are hampered by long term injuries to our best players.

In 09/10 and 10/11 if you'd had the injury problems we'd had you'd be back to 14th where you belong <ok>
 
Without the oligarch's billions, Chelsea belong well below us.
 
As much as I detest the spuds, you have to say that they look a far better balanced side than we do at the moment. I would love to think that we'll reel them in but I really cant see it.
I'm clinging on to the hope that this is a rebuilding period and AVB has everything in hand. I'm not too convinced at the moment but time will tell.
