Saints fan in peace. You want even finish in the top 5 this season.Arsenal and Newcastle will finish above you.I reckon you might even finish 7th which would be a disaster for a club like Chelsea but what can you do when you've got sh1t manager in charge?

You won't go up this season IMO. Your are beginning to fade and I see West Ham and Cardiff going up automatically and Birmingham winning the playoffs <ok>

Hope you come up though, I like Southampton and a lot of my best mates go uni there

What bubble?

We've never before been in a position where we can genuinely challenge for the EPL title, so there cannot have been any bubble.

We've put ourselves in this position with some solid finishes over the last few seasons, since the days of Martin Jol. This is something we've been working up to, it's not happened over night. The idea that we are some how the village idiots who have gate-crashed a Master Mind contest in error is completely and utterly ridiculous. I don't know of any genuine Spurs fan who does not believe that we are genuine contenders. Sure, the natural modesty of most will encourage them to lack the belief that we will actually win it, but even they remain hopeful.

I'm sorry that you believe I am arrogant for believe that this Spurs side is a better football team than your current Chelsea side.

And you still haven't <ok>

<laugh>

The trouble for you is, that others can see the bitterness in your views, and it completely undermines anything you have to say on the matter.

What bitterness in my views? I speak the truth. Spurs never were title contenders, not in the minds of most rational football fans.

Even when we had the chance to go 2nd in October I said it was too early for us to be considered title challengers despite hammering Bolton 5-1 earlier that month. The loss to QPR was a small setback but the loss to Arsenal was pivotal and IMO any chance we had of challenging.

My views are not objective, I am honest enough to admit my bias but they are not born out of blind loyalty and tribalism. I am a fan of football first and foremost

But we're a better side this season, you are not - you have the CL to worry about, we do not - your team is ageing, ours is not - you have Terry, we do not - you have Torres, we do not and as for Cole <laugh>

Reasons to be confident, part 3

Chelsea team:

GK; Courtois age 19, RB; Hutchinson age 22, CB; Cahill age 26, CB; David Luiz age 24, LB; Bertrand age 22, RCM; Ramires age 24, CDM; Romeu age 20, LCM; McEachran age 18, RW; Sturridge age 22, ST; Lukaku age 18, LW; Mata age 23.

So looks like you are wrong about our players getting old.

At the beginning of the year I thought that Spurs were a little worse than Chelsea and a little better than Arsenal and Liverpool and well below Utd and City. But it turns out that Walker and Kaboul have come on a lot, and Adebayor and Parker are much better than I thought. I now think that the last 20 matches are a pretty good indication of our quality and would be very disappointed not to be third with an outside chance of better.

That's reasonable.

And more future quality players - AM Piazon 18, LB PVA - 19, CB/RB Chalobah - 19, ST Lalkovic - 18, ST Davilla-18, LM/LW De Bruyne - 20, GK Blackman - 19,

so drogba fat frank terry and chec are reserves then?,just to name 4

Drogba will be leaving in the summer, Cahill is Terry's replacement and Lampard hasn't got a good relationship with AVB he's a squad player right now since he is 33 and could leave for PSG.

Hey, Cooper! I think most of us refer to "Fat" Frank merely to wind your lot up. We know Frank's not really fat.

It's along much the same lines as you chaps laughing off our chances of finishing above you. We know that, really, this is something you know can happen <ok>

It's been around for years, just never quite got the point of it as if he was fat i doubt he would of been one of the best midfielders in the world in recent years if he was fat, and you can't help us for laughing em off considering we've finished above you for the past 14 years <laugh>
