Anyone who actually things Jenkin's didn't have almost total control over transfers after he installed Monk as manager need someone to help them dig their heads out of the sand .I'm not saying that HJ's influence in the transfer market hasn't increased. I really don't know, so you may well be right on that. It certainly looks that way, though Guidolin is happy so I guess that's what matters.
But you honestly don't think that anything else has changed these past few seasons. Really? Agents and players don't know we're more established, or that we have more money than ever before? Times have changed imo and it's very, very difficult for all established clubs to sneak a Michu these days. When we signed him nobody paid any attention to us or what we were up to. Now as soon as we start sniffing someone reports it and other clubs get wind of it. Getting 'diamonds' on the cheap really isn't easy at all, regardless of HJ.
