Aye it's very common. I thought he should have been called Jack because of his 50 in 1 business. :p

:emoticon-0136-gigglI've been a bit naughty with the Aus stereotyping today. I must say I find it a very appealing country. Apart from the heat. I couldn't live there because of that but would love to visit.

I'd love to go but I'd have to go in their winter. Doubt I could hack a 22 hour flight these days like.
I'd like to bring back a Tasmanian Devil as a pet.
Aus & Canada are the countries I'd love to go to most.
Worked with both in Yugo & they were all sound.

If there's any possible way you can go... You should go. Simple as that. Beautiful place full of brilliant people. Food's great, beer's great, women are immense, the architecture is interesting, the landscape beautiful it's a great place to make a living and make a life.

The heat isn't actually that bad as it's dry. I can deal with 36/38 in Melbourne (their summer) better than I can deal with 25 in London. It's weird but true.

Canada is the place for me. The Climate gives it the nod ahead of Aus in my top two places to live.

I'd need to win a lot of dosh before I could even contemplate it.
If I was gonna go it would have to be for at least a month.
Where did you break your flight at?

That's the problem mate. Flight's expensive, accommodation won't be cheap. I was lucky in that I started seeing the missus and managed to do it on the cheap that way.

Broke at Malaysia. It was pretty doable. 12 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur, off for a drink, a whore's bath and a cig in a 4 hour stop and then about 9 hours to Melbourne tullamarine. It wasn't fun but it wasn't a killer. Going home felt far longer.

Just spent an afternoon wine tasting with an Aussie couple
Apparently if you are in a pub in Australia and you look a bit intoxicated they throw you out. Really strict

I know, well my Mam knows a couple of families who have emigrated to Australia and they say it's the best thing that's ever happened to them. My Mam told me we were close to going at one point when I was a young lad. She went out there a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it, brought some great photo's back and apparently in parts of the outback you can literally drive for a full day on these roads and not see anybody.

One of my mates who's gay, went over with his best mate and he took an awful lot of abuse. He came home 3 days early, he said it was the most racist, homophobic place he has ever been and this lad has been to a hell of a lot of countries. He said it wasn't just that he was gay, he took a lot of stick for being English and told to **** off back home.

My own opinion on it was he had just struck unlucky and must have hit a bad area, every country has them.

**** off man, Aussie's a total piss head. Him & his brother go out on the lash for three day benders.
He telt me on the ashes thread. Australia is one of the biggest beer drinking nations in the world.

Aussie never said he was drinking in pubs with civilised people though Billy.

Probably never gets out the supermarket before he's too pissed up to find the exit!
