Might be a cagey one mate. First legs sometimes are. It is up to Cov to bring the heat really, but I would love to see us tear into them early. Just doesnt seem the Regis way though. A dull 0-0 might be the game for us.
Fine with that. I just want to see that we are back on it. Away performances like Burnley, Luton, Boro and the like. That's what I want from Friday, even if we lose. I want to see something from this team

Honestly mate, I know we've really backed off recently but as I've said Coventry really needed to beat Plymouth and Luton.

They lost at Luton with ZERO shots at goal and conceded two goals.

They had around 75% possession at Plymouth, managed three shots and conceded three goals.

They managed to switch back on for the Boro game but they're not exactly Leeds are they ...

... we can beat them.
Dunno if you listen to the podcasts, but Graham Falk said something a few weeks back that really resonated with me:

"I don't fear anyone.....I only fear Sunderland"

We are absolutely capable of beating anyone on our day, but we are also more than capable of beating ourselves up in a way that no other club seems to.

I love your optimistic view, hoped to see you at POC on Sat morning.
Great turnout.

I’ve just watched a video that’s done the worst teams for fans leaving early in the PL with 20 being the best fans and 1 being the worst. Sunderland were 16th. Ironically Newcastle were 5th even though they love to try and take the piss out of us for doing it. I’ve no idea where the lad has got the data from though does anyone know? He reckons it’s data driven

Up to now I haven’t noticed anyone leaving early. The team deserves the atmosphere we’ve got at the moment as well. Long may it continue.

Absolutely mate. Paid off already especially the late goals against Brentford and then chasing the game against Villa. Much easier for the captain to rally the team when he’s got 40k+ screaming fans behind him. I really think a more expansive metro link from Sunderland back through to the likes of Washington/Chester Le Street would improve things especially for those late kick offs when there’s no busses back.

100% it would help, in this day and age it’s bonkers that big places aren’t linked by better transport facilities.
