Watch your back cisse

:emoticon-0114-dull:

I think he is going to get a hat trick debut. That lad has the eye of the tiger. Just like ba did those years ago.

as much as i'd love it i'd take a 1-0 win with a OG from Villa atm! Ofc i'd love the gouf to get a hat trick tho :D

Out of the five signings, he's the one that underwhelms me. His scoring record is below average. Got to be better back up than we have though.

Overall scoring records don't tell the whole story.

In his last 20 games, he has scored 8. The fact that we payed around a mil for him shows that he's most likely just some extra firepower, but I think he could be more.

Very few teams have two out and out goal scorers, Most have a goal scoreer and a supporting striker - -Shearer and Bellamy as an example. One has the job of bagging the goals, the other is there to help him do it, and pick up a handful himself if possible. I think Gouffran is the supporting act, a pacy set of legs to create space for Cisse

i might be wrong, but does gouffran not play primarily as a winger anyway? i was always under that impression, though i haven't seen him play much.

Winger or striker, as long as The Gouf is at least capable of bringing some creativity into the team and be able to score/assist his teammates. What I'm more worried about isn't whether he'll score, since Cisse would take up most of that burden, its whether he can put in a decent cross when needed to, do the right thing when he should. Let's just hope he won't become another headless chicken for us

This! From what I've heard he's strong, quick and makes intelligent runs. Intelligent!?

My word this could be an amazing signing if Cabaye can get the ball in between Willo's hoofs (oh yes, don't expect him to be dropped completely, even with new signings and Saylor on the return).

Also I'm loving 'The Gouf' <ok>

Some say his toast never lands butter side down, that his penis is so long it has an appendix, and that if he wrote a novel the themes would be so readily apparent that English teachers wouldn't be able to make up crap about it...

Intelligent runs mean he runs along with a text book I would imagine.

Now with 5 new signings and over 18 million pounds spent, will you lot please stop whining about Ashley being a cheapskate and that the club needs reinforcements??
It's working on my nerves a bit in the last couple of months.
