Burns & Cairney himself both reporting his knee may be ****ed for up to 9 months

Sounds like yet another on the never-ending pile of City players trying to carry on with a serious knee injury. Bullard did it, Ashbee did it, Garcia did it 3 times, Hobbs did it and now Cairney. Isn't there any way you can tell if he has knackered his leg? You'd think an injury that serious would either hurt like **** or swell up immediately or something.

Someone just texted into Humberside who was at the game and blamed Bruce for the 3rd goal (no it wasn't me! <laugh>). I haven't seen it yet of course but he's come on with minutes to go and manged to do something (?) involved in conceding the goal. People keep complaining that he hasn't got much praise but it keeps happening.

The ball skidded off his sick.

It's more weird that we seem to have these injuries so often. Is it just my imagination or do we seem to get them far more often than other clubs? It can't even be put down to training methods either, up until the last 6 months (when we also had Koren and Chester out for a short spell) for ages we've seemed to be a club that only suffers big injuries and that's under a lot of different managers and coaching regimes.

We've both developed stutters

If as bad as what's being reported it's sad for him. Interesting to see the tackle Cairney describes it as disgusting.

It could destroy him. He always seems to be doing well in pre-season, gradually getting pulled out of the team as the league gets going and then by the end of the season he isn't involved at all. If he isn't available for 9 months and we sign other players he could struggle to get back into the team again. Shame because I still think he's a massive talent.

You just can't see beyond the sick, can you? <laugh>

I can't stand spew.

Yesterday, in town, I watched with morbid fascination as a pigeon tucked into someone's vomit.

I hated it, but couldn't stop watching. Staring. Transfixed.

I don't expect my season card fee to include complimentary vomiting.

No, no, no.

I don't think anyone can blame Cairney's injury on the training. He got wiped out by all accounts.

I blame it on our sporting facilities.......... or lack thereof

I blame it on those bladed studded football boots. They don't have any give when in the ground resulting in injuries to ankles and knees. Not to mention the gashes they can cause a la Rooney. They should be banned IMHO.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this as i cant be bothered searching through every page, but did anyone notice the scoreboard being on 90 for 5+ minutes before the added time? Surely the game should have been over before they scored! (my excuse)

As it happens, I did. It was weird, they usually do it a few seconds before 90 mins. Also, why do all football clocks on scoreboards stop at 90 and not include time added on?
