Spot On ^^^^^^ this. Slap and tickle and the odd fondle went on all the time. As you say it was a different time. But what Paul Gadd has supposed to have done goes way beyond all that.
As for PC World, the whole world is going so PC now.
It was a port we stopped in during a repositioning cruise from Sydney to Venice.
Mopeds everywhere and DVD sellers.
Bought a pack of Marlboro from some dude with a $10 bill and got a wheelbarrow full of Dong* in change.
*currency of Vietnam.
If memory serves me it was about 30,000 dong to the pound. I changed £50 when I got to Ho Chi Minh airport and watched the young lady take about 20 minutes to count out more bank notes than I have ever seen.
Mind you I could hardly give it away everything was just so ridiculously cheap.
Try telling the victims of abuse today that the police are too busy looking for crimes in the 1970's, which as i said was a very different time.
Where do we go next ? the TV show Love Thy Neighbour was very popular at that time and yet now i cannot be shown on the telly as is seen to be racist. should we find the cast and drag them through the court system for racist comments ?

You do indeed, you really need some new material, it wasn't funny the first time you said it and it doesn't improve with age.
there is a difference between comments made in 70's and having sex with a 7 year old, even back in 1950, that was illegal.
