Why dont you go and stick to your own board Wigan. After seeing DJ sneak two goals from very little last season at the SOL I would have him in a flash. I think he would gell nicely with what SB has brought into the club this week and be good enough cover when Gyan goes to the African Nations Cup in January. Would be well pleased if we got him at that price.

N'gog move must be dead in the water now, let him rot in Liverpool reserves picking up his 40k a week the silly boy

I'm not that bothered about N'gog not wanting to come to us.

I don't want to see a player whose lack of professional pride allows him to turn out with the stiffs every week , when he could be playing first team every week somewhere else.

Even if it is for £40k a week.

I reckon we could go for DJ as well as trying for Welbeck on loan. Welbeck looked decent on the wing and would give us an option to have anywhere up top.

Wigan is a decent poster, Sunderland is his second team. I don't think we need to jump on every person that ask's for an opinion.

At £1.5m, he is a good buy. Another big powerful striker and quite mobile. I think we got bullied and bossed a bit too much last season and with a player like DJ and Wickham, that would stop. With crosses coming in from Larsson and a left winger, we need a bit of height up top and for a fraction of the cost (and in wages) of N'Gog, I'd rather have Campbell if it were a choice.

My gut feeling though is that he wont be Wearside bound IMO. WHU and QPR have both put bids in and I think he will end up there not here.

He isnt the best but I think he is better than some give him credit for.

Yeah, thats what I mean, let him rot in the stiffs, he's a mug if he prefers to sit on his arse picking up his cash rather than playing for the No 1 team in the North East

N'Gog is pure ****e.

We have escaped that slow death by crap by the skin of our teeth.

We move on. He doesnt. End of (thank ****).

347 games / 151 goals

Okay, I accept that quite a few of these were at lower level but he netted 13 times in 31 game last season and for £1.5m, he is a steal IMO.

If you read Bruce's column in the new legion of light he mentions Stoke having 6 strikers at one point last season.

If you treat Ji as an investment for 6 months at least and Wickham as a one for the future then we are STILL left with 1.

What happens in January? African Cup of Nations, then we have 0. (point noted about Sess and Ricco mind)

However, I reckon DJ for 1.25mill (release clause) and then a real top drawer striker (I still think a 10mill+ is in the offering) we're looking at the magoc 6 (including Frazier Campbell obv out til March minimum)

My bet for the other striker has to be Welbeck again (probs on loan) personally investing 15mill on him would be a wise move on our part - Welbeck and Wickham future England line up :-)

Gyan
*Welbeck*
DJ Campbell
Wickham
Ji
F Campbell

Looks good in my eyes

....Skysports.com understands Blackpool striker DJ Campbell is keen to win a move to the Premier League, denting West Ham's hopes of signing him.

West Ham and Queens Park Rangers have both been granted permission to speak to Campbell after meeting the £1.25 million buy-out clause in his Blackpool contract.

Campbell enjoyed an impressive campaign in the top flight last season as he scored 13 goals for Blackpool.

However, Campbell is ready to move on from Blackpool following their relegation as he wants to play in the Premier League.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Fulham and Stoke, are thought to be keen on Campbell, but skysports.com understands Sunderland are leading the chase for the 29-year-old.

Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is a big fan of Campbell, having signed him during his time in charge of Birmingham.

Campbell will now see what offers come in for him before deciding where to continue his career.

.

this could be true as 2 days ago i heard we were signing a player from blackpool and i put 2 and 2 together and summised it was vaughan, i feel a bit of a tit now like lol

I agree with Gyans dance teacher, i still expect a marquee signing ontop of Campbell (if we get him). SNQ has also stated numerous times about Stoke having 6 strikers. Dong and Wickham have to be seen as future investments so if we have Gyan, Fraizer (when fit), D.J. plus one more there is your 4 proven Premier league strikers.

DJ I think could be god for us, get 3 seasons out for him, good bit of experience in him.

Obviously I would prefer Wellbeck but we would either get him on loan or pay an extortionate amount for him - which we probably cannot afford.
