It's probably designed to go off if the internal battery is low. I only know because I knew someone whose mains operated one wouldn't shut up, even if the power was killed to it, can't remember what I did, probably the same as you and got a new one. <laugh>

<laugh> 2029 my arse, doubt it would make it to 2029 if installed now!

Probably would have been the backup battery needing replacing though

No such thing as peak time anymore mate, every ****er heads to the ground 3 hours before kick off looking at their phones trying to suss out where the turn-style is like lost bellends <laugh>

Tried hanging the new rad last week. It didn't go quite as planned.
This should fix it.

Been doing a bit myself this morning. We got the keys to our new house Thursday before Christmas, so I have been painting the garage floor before I fill it up with ****!
 
Right so, my daughter essentially had that 'new bedroom' **** for Christmas.

New dressing table with 'Holywood' mirror or summat, which I had to make the day before then hide in my car then bring in on Christmas eve etc.

Then Mrs Chief redecorated (supposed to have anyway) these last few days and a new double bed arrived, the whole shebang.

I got home from work today and the decoration is half done and they're off out somewhere, but that's not the story.

I've got to take the radiator off so she can paint 'properly' behind.

So this I do, solo.
Anyone whose ever taken a radiator off and drained it will will you what a **** it is, but I pulled it off with relatively little mess.

Then built the bed, put the headboardion, put the furniture back etc. curtains back up. It's Friday evening ffs.

Like a silly **** I also decided to put the heating back on as it's gone cold, then had tea and stuck the telly on.

Shout from the front room, where the Xbox is, is this supposed to be happening.

And there on the ceiling is a football size bubble of water with various drips all along the ceiling.

Now need to redecorate that ceiling too ffs.

(I've drained the bubble, was a bucket full!)
