Made a step today out of timber washed up on the river bank. I'm very proud of it, one of my finest achievements.

Good job done, but looks a big step mate and not errr very disability friendly.

Been watching Garden Rescue maybe

I can just see some old girl falling down when trying to step down. <laugh>

Imagine it, fallen down, no one there to help her. Reported missing, member of the public finds the body the next morning, old bill carry out an investigation into who made the step, low and behold, he's posted the evidence on not606, how many years is it for manslaughter? <whistle>

muddy riverside paths tend not to be great anyway so i'm not sure a big **** off step makes much difference .

PS i once bounced down , with the help of a mate , 163 steps then i gave up counting ,<laugh>

I can see the front page headlines in the local paper already, some twat builds an obstacle course for the frail. <laugh>
I can see the pic of some local sap with a sad face and his leg in a cast, and the story about how he’s looking to sue the council lol.

It's a gabion (metal cage filled with stone) that has broken up over the years, metal spikes sticking out all over the place. I just brought it up to the level of the top of the gabion. I did put a concrete block in as a step up but I think it needs building up more. Gonna do that tomorrow.

<laugh> on purpose?
yes
well sort of
the best bit was the fact it was Jerusalem and halfway down was a sentry box and obviously alerted by the noise we were making out popped an Israeli soldier with sub machine gun . He stared at us and my mate Dave said "we're ****ed if he says halt" as by that stage we were at a point where it had a momentum of its own . Luckily the squaddie decided we weren't palestinian terrorists / guerrillas / freedom fighters and waved us through :emoticon-0184-tmi:
