Once I've been to the shop I'll have drill bits and then give it a go. Why is this difficult?

I'm looking at this door number and I have the plastic plug things and screws, how do I know what size drill bit I need?
Defo the latter. I hung up my paint brushes and drill about 8 years ago, when after about 25 years I had a startling revelation. That being, that I ****ing hated & begrudged every minute of it & I was also largely pretty ****e at it. Picking up a phone and ringing a bloke who can, is as far as it goes for me these days. Oh and maybe some pointing at ****.
