I'm going to buy some. From a shop.

 

so then you can attempt the other job, without saying 'i have no drill bits'

 

Once I've been to the shop I'll have drill bits and then give it a go. Why is this difficult?

DIY ain't DIY unless it's accompanied with loads of cursing.

 

All us blokes are supposed to enjoy it and be good at it though.

Any bloke who doesn't shout 'You ****ing absolute ****ing piece of ****ing bollocking ****!' at least once when doing the DIY is either a liar or pays somebody else to do it

I'm looking at this door number and I have the plastic plug things and screws, how do I know what size drill bit I need?

Defo the latter. I hung up my paint brushes and drill about 8 years ago, when after about 25 years I had a startling revelation. That being, that I ****ing hated & begrudged every minute of it & I was also largely pretty ****e at it. Picking up a phone and ringing a bloke who can, is as far as it goes for me these days. Oh and maybe some pointing at ****. That’s it.
