This will never be beaten...
Jamie redknapp at ht in everton v gooners...
"We said that arsenal need to not concede in the first 20 mins...they failed...they conceded in19 mins...just not good enough"
<laugh>

It's hardly insightful analysis, is it? All you have to do is not concede and score at least once. Easy, really. <doh>

You made some very clear and impassioned points about abuse by a certain Mr Mackay on another board yet decide it's okay to start a new thread to name call a pundit who has merely expressed a footballing opinion. Is it only me who can see the sad sense of irony here? As a very wise man once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world". Please mate, think before you type.

Seriously?
The point was that they failed cos they only lasted 19mins without conceding instead of 20.
Tbh your point is both wrong and cheap point scoring...
I said dickhead...applies to anyone and is not particularly offensive imo...hardly the same as using racism is it?

I'm sure that RCL would stand by his criticism of Jamie Redknapp's analysis if it were made public.
The same can't be said of Mackay's far more dubious comments.

Joey barton was on tv last sunday...he said aaron ramsey was a great player and if he werent welsh he would be worth a fortune...but as wales dont qualify for world cups or the euros they dont go for huge money...he then looked sheepish and said yeah I know...bale is welsh <laugh>
I have kind have warmed to him...seems to be able to laugh at himself

By the way I am sure if you go through my history on here youd find plenty of examples of me chatting ****e <laugh>

I must have missed the bit where he said Redknapp was a dickhead cos he was white or cos he was male and not because he said a highly dickheadish thing...

I hope Garth Crooks never makes an appearance on this thread <laugh>

Ha - worried about your points on the Malky Mackay thread being undermined? Build a strong fortress, Boss - cos if anyone here has, say, Google then your boy's gonna take one hell of a beating. He has absolute 24 carat gold dickheadishness dripping from him. I particularly love the way that he leans forward and annunciates particularly clearly now and again to come over as very clever.

PS - Oh I just googled "Garth Crooks idiot" and one of the first 1,000,000-odd results was someone on the Not606 Gooner board pointing out that both Pleat and Crooks are ex-Spurs. I know, I know - we really do have some idiots representing s on TV. You could add Hoddle to that list.

Clarke Carlisle (also an idiot) last week said that Lennon's defensive work did not get noticed enough, possibly "because he's so small". That was quite special.

And just before he'd pronounced that the one thing with Aaron Lennon is that "You have to play him on the left". Yeah - about a decade of watching Aaron Lennon has definitely led me to that conclusion

Robbie Savage. Just like flying Malaysia Airlines, nothing good comes out of it.

Did you read the column where he talked about doing his homework on the Hammers? His conclusion was that West Ham did much better according to the stats in their first game than last year. I can't actually prove it, but I think his in-depth analysis didn't get to the obscure point that West Ham played half the game against 10 men.

Also, sorry flaspur, but I'm on RCL's side on this one, because I will occasionally call someone I don't like ***** or **** or so on. I don't see any harm in it, as it seems to me it's just a way of saying you really don't like someone, and very different from using a racially, ethnically or religiously offensive phrase.

A really annoying player if he was against you...was really amazed at just how good he was ... he explains things so well...feel like I learn from him when watching

Neville and his already annoying voice turning into a screech, as he attempts to justify diving.

"You can have tactics, but ultimately it's about players getting in behind the defence and in on goal. Matt Phillips tried to dink it and got too much on it, but that's given QPR something to hold on to. If Tottenham don't stay honest, Phillips can get in behind their defence."
(Jason Roberts, commentating on Spurs v QPR, today)

Honest?
<doh>

So if our back four stay honest, and raise their hands when Phillips strays offside, he won't score?
