The busy christmas schedule see's us have our second consecutive home game in the space of 3 days as Derby County come to town. We sufferd our 5 home defeat on boxing day and our 3rd in a row as we went down 2-1 to Ipswich Town. Derby County also had a pointless boxing day as they suffered defeat at the hands of Burnley (2-0). The game earlier in the season at Pride Park saw us go down 3-2. We were 3-0 down with 20 minutes remaining when Green and Kermogant scored two quick goals to give us a slight chance at earning an unlikely draw however Derby were able to hang on until the end with Kerkar even having a header cleared off the line in injury time.

We need to stop this mini rot we are in and get back on track with 3 points tomorrow. Derby are a side that we can beat if we turn up on the day. They have taken 6 points from a possible 15 this December and although we have only taken 2 points I can still see us winning this one although I would take a draw just to stop the series of the defeats at 3. As we all know a run of defeats can be extremely hard to get out of and needs to be stopped as soon as its began. This is why I've gone back to 4-5-1 as even though I'd love a win a draw would not be the end of the world.
