Completely agree, Derby took the piss and knew exactly what they were doing. 6 points seems fair but the embargo should remain for the season

Derby County have been charged for failing to pay transfer fee instalments by the English Football League.

It is the fifth active EFL charge that the Championship club is facing.

The charge, relating to an unnamed player, was removed by the EFL in July but has now reappeared.

Derby's other charges include failure to provide audited annual accounts - also affecting their ability to meet profit and sustainability rules - and failing to pay money owed to HMRC.

Points deduction. One of the relegation spots nailed on.

All this and yet the EFL still allow them to sign a couple of players cos a couple got injured ? Typical weak kneed authorities who's bark is worse then there bite, all bluster and no substance.

So it's just a six point deduction then? I've no problem with their fans obviously, I feel for them, but it does seem a little bit light.

I would have thought 12 would be nearer the mark.

They've only just been charged, no penalty has been decided yet.

It should be a bit like points on your license... 3 you've been a bit of a knob (we can all get caught) .... 6 you've been a double knob (you knew what happened last time) and 9 you've been a complete 4 star. (and you've got what's coming to you) ... 12 points and you're banned...

Ah OK. They are repeat offenders apparently, so I'd expect more than 6 points.

They should have all points they have accrued so far this season taken away and given to the opposing teams.

“In response to ongoing media speculation, the EFL wishes to clarify that discussions with Derby County in respect of outstanding Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) matters are continuing and no decision has yet been reached,”

I've just checked the table. They've still got 7 points.
    Wtf is going on?
Was Colin Murray jumping the gun or bullshitting the viewers?

    He’s only **** now.

Wasn’t a few years ago was he?

Incomparable to our crooks. Mel Morris is just a cheating conniving bellend and the majority of Derby fans were all for his piss taking until it went tits up.

That being said, 9 point-deduction for Derby and and a measly fine for the Big 6 after the Super League fiasco is a bigger ****ing joke. The game's on its arse.

So a potential 9 point deduction with 3 suspended for breach of accountancy regs (fiddling the books to you and I) and potential 12 points deduction for entering admin ... under a transfer embargo and with Rooney as the fledgling manager. Pretty.much a sh1t show there as well then, only on a bigger plate !
