It certainly paid for him but then we paid again through the nose for not replacing Redknapp during the pre-season. Oh no! Tony had to give him the keys to the vault because of his amazing success in returning us to where he had been before he failed to keep us up. Just about. Still, it was a great moment which will live long in the memory - probably because it was so unexpected at the time and we were right behind the trajectory. One of those moments when you knew we'd scored as soon as it left his boot.

That game was also Rob Green's finest hour for us
