Hull have signed Gaston Ramirez from Southampton on loan.
They're also trying to sign Hatem Ben Arfa before 11pm.
To add to Abel Hernandez.
Busy.

Ben Arfa needs to get out of the Toon. I know he's reputed to be an ego but he's wasted there at the moment.

Disagree, look how instrumental Gylfi has been for us. Not to mention Fabianski. We got the better end of the deal here.
Gylfi is playing like a £15-£20 million player, if you compare him to Joe Allen etc.

We are still without a Premier Quality left back, DM & right back cover.

IMO.

Bony has clearly stated that he wants to play for a Champions League club and his agent is paid to assist him getting there.
I would put money on it that his agent was touting him to Liverpool, probably tried to push him towards Arsenal, Spurs and Everton too (before they signed Lukaku)....that's his job.
It's Bony's job to keep doing the business and keep schtum in the meantime, which he is doing and will do for the forseeable I imagine.
This time nobody wanted to pay the £24m...for whatever reason, don't understand it myself as his record and performances speak for themselves (the little paranoid Welshman in me wonders whether the big clubs simply object paying that money to us...thinking us to be a small backwater club who should just roll over for them).

Bony would be outstanding for a CL team imo.
Maybe we can move to extend his contract with better terms and a larger release clause now (would be best for us) but I doubt it because he wants to move on up IMO.

That's why he stayed - because we're currently in top 4 and on target to qualify for CL.

Mixed emotions... my guess is we will never get 20 million again but will get a professional performance from Bony ... not going to revel my sauce.

I was not necessarily questioning their performances since arriving or even if there were upgrades or not. Regarding Vorm I was questioning whether he wanted to leave and whether we got his true market value. Equally maybe Gylfi may well prove to worth a lot more than we paid but at the time we bought him he had a medicore season as a sub and not sure at that point in time he was worthy 10 + million.

Would agree with that.
Siggy was rated around £6 mn until Palace had £8 mn accepted by Spurs but failed to convince the player. I think we could have bought Gylfi for cash and then done deals for Ben & Vorm separately and made a good profit; unless, of course, the club was desperate to get rid of Ben and Vorm and the package deal provided a one-stop-shop.
Vorm decided to leave when he was with Holland and learned from a journalist's question that we'd signed a new number 1 goalkeeper. The outcome maybe good for us but the way it was done wasn't very professional.

All in all we have replaced flair with solidity and consistency.
