Overall, wasn't our net outlay (transfers in less transfers out) less than £2m? I'm sure I saw something like that on Sky?
I didn't mean because he wanted to leave, but because that would be good value for other clubs. I was commenting on a previous comment. Every player has his price, but nobody offered anything as I assume they thought the price was too high. So he's probably worth somewhere between £12m and £20m.
you dont know if he would have gone at all roof. How would you know what any player or club would do ????
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/275827-deadline-day?p=7004746#post7004746 turns out Barrow doesn't qualify as an U-21 as he is in the final 25 man squad list Looks like any loans we bring in will have to be U-21 players unless we can loan out the likes of Donnelly, Obeng and Cornell. Although saying that we have Lucas and Tate left over so perhaps we would have to loan out 3 players to bring 1 over-21 into the squad? That true Yankee?
Here are the full squad lists: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2014-15/sep/premier-league-squad-lists-2014-2015.html To answer your question - at this point any incoming loans would have to be U-21 to qualify for Prem matches. U-21s are not named in the squad - they are freebies - you can have and use as many as you want. If you don't have enough seniors (i.e. < 25) you name all that you have and then have slots to spare, which could then be filled with senior loanees (I think). I am not sure about how the loaning system works after the deadline or what the rules are regarding long term injuries and whether replacements are allowed.
Wilfried Bony has confirmed that there was interest in him during the summer transfer window amid speculation linking the forward with Arsenal. The Ivorian was touted as a target for both the Gunners and Liverpool during the summer months as both sides looked to bolster their attacking options. However, a move away fromSwansea City failed to materialise for the 25-year-old, who insists he is now focused on performing for Garry Monkâs side. âNow itâs over,â Bony said of the transfer speculation. âBefore we were talking, but now itâs over so I have to focus on the team. âThere were some chances [that I might leave]. I waited and nothing happened so now I am just focused on the team. âMy head is OK. I just want to repeat or do better than last season.â
If the right bid had come in then he would have gone tbh. I'm glad that nobody had the confidence in spending a big amount and taking a chance on him....It's our gain so far...
