Would agree with that. Siggy was rated around £6 mn until Palace had £8 mn accepted by Spurs but failed to convince the player. I think we could have bought Gylfi for cash and then done deals for Ben & Vorm separately and made a good profit; unless, of course, the club was desperate to get rid of Ben and Vorm and the package deal provided a one-stop-shop. Vorm decided to leave when he was with Holland and learned from a journalist's question that we'd signed a new number 1 goalkeeper. The outcome maybe good for us but the way it was done wasn't very professional. All in all we have replaced flair with solidity and consistency.
